The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive their deliveries safely, efficiently, and on time.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering roller-caged goods safely and professionally to customer locations
  • Completing daily vehicle checks in accordance with company procedures
  • Reporting vehicle defects and operational issues promptly
  • Maintaining communication with the transport office throughout your shift
  • Providing excellent customer service and representing ARRA Distribution professionally at all times
  • Working safely on customer sites and public roads
  • Driving responsibly and fuel-efficiently
  • Operating tail lifts and moving roller cages safely into stores
  • Working on double-deck trailers when required
  • Adhering to all site-specific delivery procedures and safety requirements

What We're Looking For

We're seeking reliable, professional drivers who take pride in their work and can work effectively as part of a team.

Essential requirements:

  • Minimum 12 months' experience driving Class 1 (C+E) articulated vehicles
  • Valid LGV C+E licence
  • Up-to-date Driver CPC qualification
  • Good knowledge of UK road networks and route planning
  • Understanding of Drivers' Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive requirements
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Flexible approach to work and willingness to undertake both store deliveries and trunking operations as required
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and professionalism
