Full job description

Turkish-Speaking After-School Nanny for a professional young family in Chiswick, West London. Start September 2026. Part-time term-time, full days during school holidays.

Monday to Friday, 3:00pm to 7:30 or 8:00pm during term-time. Full days during school holidays. £18 to £22 gross per hour. All-year salaried. Live-out. Chiswick, West London.

This role
- Pick up the family's young daughter from her Chiswick school at around 3:30pm.
- Walk her home, provide a light tea or early supper, active play, bath, and bedtime.
- Active play in the home, garden, or local parks. Activities such as swimming, ball games, or children's classes.
- Genuine Turkish conversation throughout the time you spend together: singing, reading, naming things, storytelling.
- Brief handover with the housekeeper at start of shift and parents at end of shift.
- Full-day cover during school holidays.

Essential experience
- Native or fluent Turkish, confident speaking naturally with a small child.
- Native or near-native English. Daily household communication runs in English.
- Fully integrated in British family life and culture. Comfortable with the British school system and British family routines.
- Proven nanny experience caring for children aged three to six, including school pick-up. Not a step-up from babysitting.
- Genuine warmth and patience. Calm, kind, present.
- Living in West London (Chiswick, Acton, Hammersmith, Ealing, or similar) within a 30-minute commute.
- Up-to-date paediatric first aid (or willingness to obtain).
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Checkable references from comparable private family roles.

Strong advantage
- Career nanny with grown-up children, or otherwise free of school-age dependents of your own.
- Norland, NNEB, or other recognised childcare qualifications.
- Driving licence.
- Experience with children entering reception.

Due to the high volume of applications, only successfully shortlisted candidates will be contacted. If you have not heard from us within 14 days, please consider your application unsuccessful on this occasion.
