Full job description

We are looking for new GCSE English tutors to join our growing team of private tutors.

Our tutors deliver one-to-one lessons at pupils' homes and in local schools. We are looking for English tutors to teach both Language and Literature at GCSE level. You can decide which students you work with and at what level. With Tutor In you earn from £30 to £40 per hour and enjoy complete flexibility in your working hours. We are particularly looking for tutors with availability to provide lessons during the school day.

We are a local tutoring agency based in Leeds, so our tutors know us personally and can rely on our support to help deliver the best lessons possible. Details about the role:

  • Lessons usually take place at our pupils' homes or in local schools, so you will be expected to travel.
  • You can select the areas you want to work in and what level you want to tutor.
  • Lessons are usually an hour long and take place on a weekly basis.

Requirements:

  • You must be able to demonstrate strong subject knowledge. As a minimum you need to be a graduate with a relevant degree and a good A level in the subject you are looking to tutor.
  • Excellent teaching and/or tutoring experience is required.
  • You need to be able to drive and have access to a car in order to travel to pupils' homes.
