The world of Technology Enabled Care is expanding every day with new technologies and digital solutions that can support people to remain safe and independent in their own homes.
We are looking for individuals enthusiastic about providing this type of support to residents of South Tyneside.
In this dynamic and fast-paced role, you'll find every day brings something new. Working at the heart of our Alarm Receiving Centre, you’ll be at the frontline responding to emergency calls from individuals in crisis, expertly liaising with our Responders and the Emergency Services to ensure the most appropriate support is dispatched swiftly and effectively.
You will also handle vital out of hours calls relating to Council and Housing, liaising with colleagues and partners in supporting to keep the Borough running around the clock.
Beyond the working withing our Alarm Receiving Centre, you’ll be out in the community, installing and servicing the latest Assistive Technology equipment prescribed by our assessment team helping to support residents to remain independent.
This service is 24/7, 365 days a year and is provided to such principles that meet TSA Quality Standards. This role is on a casual basis covering shifts as required and mutually agreed.
You will work within a supportive and proactive team of TEC professionals with an agreed goal of providing an effective and efficient Assistive Technology service. You will also be given full onsite training to allow you to complete your role competently. The role also opens up the prospect of additional learning, training and progression within South Tyneside Council.
This varied position ensures you play a pivotal part in maintaining safety, independence, and essential services for the residents of South Tyneside.
