What the role will involve?

South Tyneside Council are proud to have an in-house Occupational Health service that promotes good health and wellbeing and facilitates support at the right time and in the right way. The role will support the organisation through an exciting period of change and will be integral to leading the Occupational Health service to support the Council’s health and wellbeing priorities.

You will lead a small team, working alongside those working on our contract for physician, physiotherapy and counselling services. In addition to managing a busy service, you will be the Council’s expert on occupational health and lead on complex case management.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who possess the clinical knowledge and expertise, be passionate about workforce health and wellbeing and leading change to modernise working practices.

You must be creative and innovative to meet changing workforce needs. You will possess excellent stakeholder management skills, be empathetic and have a collaborative approach to working alongside colleagues to strengthen relationships.
