Full job description

Package Description:

Agincare is looking for a talented and fully qualified Senior Management Accountant to play a pivotal role in our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and wants to make a meaningful impact across a growing organisation.

This role is based full time in office, between our Poole and Portland offices in Dorset.

You’ll provide high‑quality financial analysis, support strategic decision‑making, and oversee the delivery of management accounting activities. You’ll work closely with the Senior Accountant and lead the work of our Management Accountants, helping to drive accuracy, insight, and continuous improvement across the function.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing the month‑end process, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Producing detailed variance analysis and clear explanations for performance movements

  • Preparing monthly financial performance reports, KPIs, and ad‑hoc analysis for senior stakeholders

  • Supporting and mentoring junior accounting staff, helping to develop capability and best practice

  • Collaborating with department heads on budgeting and forecasting aligned to strategic goals

  • Monitoring business costs and identifying opportunities to improve financial performance

  • Ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal processes

  • Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Supporting continuous improvement across systems, processes, and reporting

What we’re looking for

  • Fully qualified ACCA, ACA, or CIMA

  • 2–3 years’ experience in management accounting

  • Experience in a senior or supervisory role

  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail

  • Proficiency with financial systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills

  • Confident communicator able to present financial information to non‑financial colleagues

  • Highly organised, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • A collaborative, professional approach and commitment to high standards

Why join Agincare?

You’ll be part of a supportive, ambitious finance team where your expertise will directly influence decision‑making and business performance. This role offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to shape how we deliver financial insight across the organisation.

If you’re a qualified accountant looking for your next step — with the autonomy to lead, the scope to influence, and the chance to grow — we’d love to hear from you.
