Ecommerce Growth Executive

Location: Chelmsford, office-based with occasional travel
Employment type: Full-time, permanent
Reporting to: Ecommerce Manager
Salary: From £28,000 per year, depending on experience, plus performance-related bonus

About Phoenix Medical Group

Phoenix Medical Group Ltd is a diversified healthcare and wellness business operating across traditional medicine distribution, pharmaceutical import and wholesale, hospital tender projects, and direct-to-consumer ecommerce. Our portfolio includes PHOENIX MEDICAL, DAODI, MYCOLOGY NUTRITION, AURA NUTRITION, and MAXIM SPORTS. These brands serve the health, wellness, and sports nutrition markets through Shopify and WooCommerce stores.

We also operate B2B websites supporting wholesale, healthcare, and trade customers in the UK and Europe.

As we enter our next stage of growth, we are looking for a commercially focused Ecommerce Growth Executive to improve the performance of our DTC stores and B2B websites.

The Role

You will take ownership of online merchandising, promotions, conversion optimisation, customer retention, and B2B lead generation.

Working with our ecommerce, development, SEO, paid media, operations, and supply-chain teams, you will turn website traffic into profitable sales, repeat purchases, and qualified trade enquiries.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys identifying opportunities, implementing improvements, measuring results, and scaling successful ideas.

Key Responsibilities

Ecommerce Trading and Merchandising

  • Manage product presentation, categorisation, pricing, and promotions across our ecommerce stores.
  • Plan and deliver seasonal campaigns, product launches, bundles, volume discounts, and loyalty offers.
  • Use sales, margin, and inventory data to identify bestsellers, underperforming products, and growth opportunities.
  • Improve product, category, and campaign pages to increase customer confidence and sales.
  • Monitor competitors and market trends in the UK and Europe.
  • Coordinate with operations and supply-chain teams to maintain accurate product, pricing, and stock information.

Conversion Rate Optimisation

  • Review customer journeys across our DTC and B2B websites.
  • Use GA4, ecommerce analytics, heatmaps, session recordings, and customer feedback to identify barriers to conversion.
  • Improve landing pages, product pages, carts, checkout journeys, enquiry forms, and calls to action.
  • Develop and test upsells, cross-sells, bundles, and post-purchase offers.
  • Measure how each improvement affects conversion, average order value, customer lifetime value, margin, and revenue.

B2B Website Growth

  • Review and improve our UK and European B2B websites.
  • Optimise product and service pages, landing pages, enquiry forms, and customer journeys.
  • Increase the number and quality of wholesale and trade enquiries.
  • Work with internal teams to understand B2B customer needs and improve the website experience.
  • Align website improvements with SEO and paid lead-generation campaigns.
  • Maintain a prioritised improvement plan based on commercial impact.

Customer Retention

  • Build and improve automated email and SMS campaigns using Klaviyo or a similar platform.
  • Manage welcome, browse-abandonment, cart-abandonment, post-purchase, replenishment, and win-back journeys.
  • Develop loyalty, subscription, and repeat-purchase opportunities for suitable products.
  • Use customer segmentation to deliver more relevant communications.
  • Monitor retention, repeat-purchase rate, customer lifetime value, and campaign profitability.

Reporting and Collaboration

  • Produce weekly and monthly ecommerce performance reports.
  • Track revenue, margin, conversion rate, average order value, customer lifetime value, repeat purchases, promotional return, and B2B enquiries.
  • Turn performance data into clear recommendations and actions.
  • Work with developers to prioritise commercially valuable platform improvements.
  • Manage relevant ecommerce applications and integrations.
  • Ensure customer-facing activity follows internal approval processes and applicable product requirements.

About You

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Hands-on experience managing or growing Shopify, WooCommerce, or similar ecommerce stores.
  • Evidence of improving revenue, conversion, average order value, or customer retention.
  • Experience using analytics and customer-behaviour data to make commercial decisions.
  • Working knowledge of GA4, ecommerce reporting, Search Console, and spreadsheets.
  • Experience with Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Omnisend, or a similar email platform.
  • Understanding of conversion funnels, margin, average order value, customer lifetime value, and return on advertising spend.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several brands and priorities.
  • Clear communication and the ability to work with technical, marketing, and operational teams.
  • A proactive, commercially curious, and results-focused approach.

Desirable Experience

  • B2B ecommerce or lead-generation experience.
  • Experience in healthcare, supplements, nutrition, wellness, or another regulated category.
  • Familiarity with subscriptions, loyalty programmes, Amazon, TikTok Shop, or other marketplaces.
  • Basic HTML and CSS knowledge.
  • Experience supporting ecommerce operations across the UK and Europe.

You do not need to meet every desirable requirement to apply.

Why Join Us?

  • Take meaningful ownership of a varied ecommerce portfolio.
  • See the measurable commercial impact of your work.
  • Gain experience across DTC, B2B, UK, and European markets.
  • Work with colleagues across ecommerce, development, marketing, operations, and supply chain.
  • Grow your responsibilities as our brands and international presence expand.

How to Apply

Please submit your CV and a short cover letter outlining:

  • Your relevant ecommerce experience.
  • An example of how you improved online sales, conversion, or retention, including measurable results where possible.
  • Any experience with B2B websites or lead generation.
