About the role
The Research & Knowledge Exchange Service (RKES) plays a key role in connecting the University of Lancashire with businesses, employers and external partners to drive innovation, skills development and economic growth. Within RKES, the Enterprise & Engagement Unit acts as the front door for business engagement, supporting organisations to access the University's expertise, services and collaborative opportunities.
As Business Enquiries Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for business enquiries, ensuring a professional, responsive and customer-focused service across telephone, email and CRM systems. You'll play a vital role in supporting business development activity, coordinating enquiries from initial contact through to resolution, maintaining accurate records, supporting events and helping to deliver an excellent experience for employers, partners and learners.
About you
You will be an organised and proactive administrator with excellent communication and customer service skills, capable of managing a high volume of enquiries while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. You will have experience of working in a customer-facing or business support environment, using CRM or database systems, maintaining records and coordinating multiple activities simultaneously.
You will be confident communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally, and able to build effective working relationships across the organisation. Strong IT skills, a commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are essential. Experience of supporting business engagement, employer partnerships, events or apprenticeships would be advantageous.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in supporting the University's engagement with businesses and external partners.
Why join us?
Join a friendly and ambitious team dedicated to strengthening the University's relationships with businesses and communities. You'll have the opportunity to contribute directly to business growth, knowledge exchange and employer engagement activities that make a real difference across the region.
