Location: Elland Road, Leeds (with delivery across community venues as required)
Contract: Fixed Term (12 Months)

What You’ll Be Doing
We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Foundation Women and Girls Officer to support the continued growth and development of our Women and Girls pathway across Yorkshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality football and engagement programmes for girls and young women, with a particular focus on supporting our Female Post-16 Education Programme.
The successful candidate will support participants both on and off the pitch, helping to create positive experiences, increase participation, and develop opportunities for progression within the women's and girls' game.
Key Responsibilities:
Programme Delivery

Plan, organise, and deliver high-quality football coaching sessions across the Women and Girls pathway.

Support the delivery and development of the Female Post-16 Education Programme.

Coach, mentor, and support participants within the programme.

Deliver engaging sessions suitable for a range of ages and abilities.

Promote enjoyment, development, and progression through football.
Participant Development

Support the football, personal, and educational development of participants.

Assist with the recruitment, retention, and progression of players across Women and Girls programmes.

Support talent identification and progression opportunities where appropriate.

Act as a positive role model for female participants.

Assist in the organisation and smooth running of Women and Girls pathway activities.
Partnership & Community Engagement

Build and maintain positive relationships with:

Promote opportunities for women and girls within local communities.

Support the growth of participation across Yorkshire.
Administration & Reporting

Maintain accurate participant records and programme documentation.

Complete registers, risk assessments, and supporting paperwork.

Support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting requirements.

Assist with programme KPI monitoring and funding requirements.
Team Management & Collaboration
-
Support and guide coaching staff delivering Women and Girls programmes.
-
Work collaboratively with Foundation departments to maximise participant opportunities.
-
Attend meetings, CPD opportunities, and staff training sessions.
Safeguarding & Compliance
-
Ensure safeguarding, welfare, health & safety, equality, diversity, and inclusion policies are followed at all times.

Identify and report safeguarding concerns appropriately.
-
Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll have:
UEFA C Licence (or currently working towards).
Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Passion for developing opportunities for women and girls in football.
Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Experience
Experience coaching girls' and/or women's football.
Experience planning and delivering sessions for a range of age groups and abilities.
Experience supporting participant development.
Experience working within football, education, or community sport environments.
Experience building relationships with stakeholders and community partners.
Experience maintaining programme records and documentation.
Desirable
UEFA B Licence.
Experience working within an educational setting.
Knowledge of the female football pathway.
Knowledge of grassroots football clubs and leagues within West Yorkshire.
Experience managing, mentoring, or supporting coaching staff.
Experience monitoring programme performance and reporting against KPIs.
Understanding of funding requirements and community sport programmes.
