About Stretton JFC

Stretton JFC is a thriving grassroots football club based in Warrington. We are dedicated to developing young players in a supportive, inclusive, and engaging environment. Our mission is to foster a lifelong love for football while promoting teamwork, discipline, and personal growth.

Role Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and committed Football Coaches to deliver high-quality training sessions and lead match-day teams. This role is ideal for coaches who are looking to train and manage their own team while gaining valuable experience as part of a highly experienced and supportive coaching team. Whether you're building your coaching journey or looking to contribute to youth development in a structured and professional setup, this is a great opportunity to grow and make an impact.

Working Hours

  • Training Sessions:
  • Mondays: 5:30pm – 7:30pm
  • Wednesdays: 5:00pm – 7:00pm
  • Match Days:
  • Saturdays and/or Sundays (flexible – coaches may work one or both days)

You will be contracted for a minimum of 10 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours based on your availability and the club’s needs.

Pay

  • £12 to £30/hour (depending on experience & responsibility)
  • Paid monthly

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate training sessions
  • Coach and manage your own team on match days
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all players
  • Track player progress and development
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and club officials
  • Uphold Stretton JFC’s values and child welfare policies

Person Specification

Essential:

  • FA Level 1 / Introduction to Coaching Football (or working towards)
  • FA Safeguarding Children & Emergency Aid certificates (or willing to obtain)
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and a good communicator
  • Passionate about grassroots football
  • Previous coaching experience essential
  • Available for stated training and match hours

Desirable:

  • UEFA C Licence or higher
  • Valid enhanced DBS check (or willing to obtain)
