Overview:

Independent Non-Medical Prescriber

Nottinghamshire| Full Time | Fixed Term Contract for 16 months

Prescribe with purpose. Help change lives.

Every clinical decision matters.
It can improve someone’s health, build trust and help them take the next step in their recovery.
At Change Grow Live, our clinical teams bring together evidence-based practice, professional expertise and compassion. We work alongside people affected by drug and alcohol use, helping them access treatment that reflects their needs, strengths and goals.

We’re looking for an experienced Independent Non-Medical Prescriber to join our Nottinghamshire service, supporting people across Nottinghamshire

This is an opportunity to use your clinical expertise where it can have a lasting impact—working within a multidisciplinary team that puts people at the heart of every decision.

Why this opportunity?

This is more than prescribing medication.
It’s about seeing the whole person, understanding what matters to them and creating treatment plans that support their health, safety and recovery.
Working alongside Recovery Coordinators, doctors, clinical colleagues and partner agencies, you’ll provide high-quality assessment, prescribing and treatment reviews. You’ll promote harm reduction, support improvements in physical and mental health and help people feel informed and involved in their care.

You’ll also contribute to the development of our prescribing service, sharing your expertise and helping colleagues maintain safe, consistent and evidence-based clinical practice.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll:
  • Complete comprehensive clinical assessments and develop personalised treatment plans.
  • Prescribe, review and optimise medication in line with national guidance and evidence-based practice.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver safe, coordinated care.
  • Support people experiencing complex physical health, mental health and substance use needs.
  • Promote harm reduction, health improvement and recovery-focused interventions.
  • Provide clinical advice and guidance to colleagues and partner organisations.
  • Contribute to clinical governance, service development and quality improvement.
  • Help create a safe and inclusive environment where people feel respected, heard and involved.

Where you’ll work

Location: Nottinghamshire, working accross the county

Hours:
Full time, 37.5 hours per week.

Contract Type:
16 Months Fixed Term

Responsibilities:

About you

You combine clinical expertise with compassion.
You’re confident making informed clinical decisions, but you also understand that effective treatment begins with listening, building trust and working in partnership with the person receiving care.
You’ll bring:
  • Current NMC or GPhC registration.
  • An Independent Non-Medical Prescriber qualification.
  • Recent experience within drug and alcohol treatment services.
  • Strong knowledge of prescribing practice, harm reduction and recovery-focused care.
  • Confidence assessing clinical need and managing complex presentations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A commitment to safe, evidence-based and person-centred practice.

What we’ll give you

You’ll join a supportive multidisciplinary team where your expertise is valued and your professional development is actively encouraged.
Our benefits include:
  • 25 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 days with service.
  • A paid Wellness Hour every week.
  • Access to our Wellness Hub and Employee Assistance Programme.
  • A contributory pension scheme.
  • Clinical supervision, training and ongoing professional development.
  • Protected CPD time.
  • Opportunities to develop within a supportive national clinical network.
  • NMC fees paid.
  • Employee discounts and a generous Refer a Friend Scheme.

A place to grow your clinical career

At Change Grow Live, we know that exceptional clinical care starts with exceptional people.

You’ll have the autonomy to use your professional judgement, the support of an experienced multidisciplinary team and the opportunity to influence how clinical services develop.

Our values—Be open. Be compassionate. Be bold.—guide everything we do. If they reflect the way you practise, we’d love to hear from you.

When completing your application, please explain how your clinical experience, prescribing knowledge and motivation align with the essential requirements of the role.
