Sonographer

Who are ACS:

ACS are waiting list improvement specialists working with NHS Trusts and Hospital Groups across the UK and Ireland to see and treat patients sooner. Our team have delivered insourcing care to over 1.2 million patients across the UK and Ireland, so we're really making a difference!

Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and confident Sonographer to join our team and undertake Fine Needle Aspirations (FNA) within a supportive and well-equipped clinical environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a sonographer with proven FNA competence

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in line with clinical pathways.
  • Independently undertake ultrasound-guided Fine Needle Aspirations (FNA).
  • Provide clear, accurate documentation and communicate results/next steps to referring clinicians.
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists, pathologists, and the wider MDT.
  • Ensure all procedures are carried out safely and in accordance with governance and infection-control protocols.

What We’re Looking For

  • HCPC-registered Sonographer or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • A minimum of 1 year performing FNAs independently
  • Strong communication and patient-care skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to maintaining high clinical standards and continuing professional development.
