Are you a friendly, organised and confident people person who loves delivering exceptional customer service?

Robin James is Dorset’s leading salon group, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic Front of House Receptionist to join our award-winning Sherborne salon. This is a part-time position working Saturdays, with opportunities for additional hours to cover holidays and busy periods.

As the first person our guests meet, you’ll play a key role in creating the warm, professional and welcoming experience that Robin James is renowned for. If you enjoy working with people, thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in making every customer feel special, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing

  • Welcoming guests and ensuring they receive an outstanding experience from the moment they arrive
  • Managing appointments and the salon diary using our industry-leading booking system
  • Answering telephone and online enquiries
  • Processing payments and handling retail sales
  • Offering advice on our premium Aveda and Clarins products and promotions
  • Serving refreshments and helping maintain our beautiful salon environment
  • Supporting our stylists, colourists and therapists to keep the salon running smoothly

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Naturally warm, friendly and professional
  • An excellent communicator with a genuine passion for customer service
  • Highly organised with great attention to detail
  • Confident multitasking in a busy environment
  • Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office
  • Reliable, enthusiastic and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team
  • 2 Years experience in a reception or other customer-facing role
  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), including English and Maths
