Full job description

The opportunity has arisen to join the team at GigLoo Ltd for summer work. Do you have a passion for working outside, teamwork, and the fast-paced world of events? From working with large festivals such as Glastonbury, to supporting filming locations for Netflix, no day is the same within this rewarding role. Our Driver Technicians are the heart and soul of what we do here GigLoo, responsible for delivering, collecting, repairs, servicing and cleaning our unique mobile toilet and shower trailers across Sussex - don't worry, it's a lot more hygienic than you think!

Duties to include:

  • Driving van/4x4 and/or towing up to 3500kg
  • Delivering and collecting portable and mobile toilets/showers
  • Setting up and repairing equipment (full training given)
  • Carrying out servicing work on both trailers and portable toilets (full training given)
  • Onsite maintenance & cleaning at events from weddings to festivals

About you:

  • Must be up for physically active work
  • Must be able to work on own and as part of a team.
  • A positive “can do” attitude with a willingness to get stuck in
  • Full UK driving license
  • Towing experience (with or without B+E entitlement)
  • Happy working outdoors
  • Flexible for early starts and late finishes and weekend working, overtime paid
  • A knowledge of plumbing and/or electrics would be an advantage
  • Experience of working in the event industry would be an advantage
  • Happy talking to customers when delivering and picking up
  • Takes pride in personal appearance and is well presented

In Return we offer:

  • Up to 45 hour week @ £14.35 per hour
  • Significant amount of overtime

  • Position is open to those wishing to be employed or via sub-contract

Usual hours are Mon – Fri 7.30 am until 5pm (1/2 hour for lunch) although flexibility is required when business demands, including early starts, late finishes and weekend work at peak times.
