Description
At United, we have some of the best aircraft in the world. Our Technical Operations team is full of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help make sure they’re well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. If you’re ready to work on our planes, join our Tech Ops experts and help keep our fleet in tip-top shape.
- Perform all aspects of aircraft maintenance work including servicing, repair, and proper work documentation in accordance with company procedures and specifications
- May be required to exercise Aircraft Release Authority
- Demonstrate initiative and leadership to other mechanics
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

High School diploma or equivalent school leaving certificate
-
Must hold valid aircraft maintenance certificate or equivalent competency for the UK
-
Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
-
Completion of local Mechanic Qualification
-
Must be at least 18 years of age
-
Must have a full UK driving License or be willing to obtain one within probation
-
Must have previous experience in aircraft maintenance
-
Must be flexible to work any shift assigned in a 24/7 operation including nights, weekends and holidays
-
Must be willing and able to travel internationally for training and meetings as well as be willing to work in other countries to support short term relief or field service recovery missions

Must be legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom for any employer without sponsorship

Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications

Reliable, punctual attendance is essential function of the position

Must be able to obtain a permanent airside ID for LHR
