Come join us to create what’s next. Let’s define tomorrow, together.
Description
At United, we have some of the best aircraft in the world. Our Technical Operations team is full of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help make sure they’re well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. If you’re ready to work on our planes, join our Tech Ops experts and help keep our fleet in tip-top shape.
In 2023, we launched our LHR B767 A-Check line as part of the United Next expansion and our commitment to building a stronger future at Heathrow. Now, as work begins on the next phase of our extensive hangar refurbishment, we are proud to be opening a second check line. Since 2022, our maintenance department has grown by 200%, creating new opportunities for people to develop and build long-term careers with us. During that time, more than 70 Aviation Maintenance Technicians have completed their FAA A&P license, fully funded by United Airlines. Over the last four years, we have also invested heavily in our leadership team, growing our management numbers by 8 and our Maintenance Crew Chief team by 10. With further growth planned over the next 12 months, this is an exciting time to join the team. United Airlines already operates the world’s largest fleet, with more than 1,100 aircraft, and that fleet continues to grow. This year alone, we will welcome more than 100 new aircraft, averaging two per week, with continued growth expected for many years to come.
As part of a 24/7, 365-day global operation, roles follow fully rotating shift patterns, including both day and night shifts. We are also exploring the feasibility of permanent nightshift, so if you wish to be considered for this then please advise of this in your covering letter.
