The A Side: A Day in The Life

This is a key position in our UK Royalties team reporting to the Head of UK Royalties and Client Services. This role is for parental leave cover and will work alongside a team of royalty experts with joint focus on providing our clients with accurate and timely royalty payments.

We are searching for a royalty specialist who has experience undertaking royalty processing procedures and an understanding of compliance and control measures.

The position is rich in opportunity for involvement with the company’s biggest clients, PRO’s and third parties.

The B Side: Skills & Experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the processing of incoming royalty statements from PRS, MCPS, IMRO and third parties
  • Ensure compliance and control procedures related to royalties are executed
  • Liaising with finance to reconcile incoming royalty statements
  • Producing regular processing forecast information
  • Key stakeholder in royalty system technology changes
  • Contributing to achieving quarterly royalty close process
  • Creating relevant approval documents for Head of Royalties, VP UK & European Admin and General Manager & Finance Director

Person Specification

Bring Your Vibe

  • Related work experience in a music publishing royalties role
  • An understanding of royalties and finance processes within Music Publishing
  • Experience undertaking compliance and control processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Understanding of music publishing income streams including collective management organisations, Performing Rights Organisations and Digital Service Providers
  • Strong organization skills, critical thinking, analytical abilities, and attention to detail are required
  • Ability to meet deadlines quickly and accurately while managing competing priorities is required
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
