Experienced Upholsterer (4-Day Week)

Company: Contract Furniture Solutions Limited

Location: Leeds (Based at our 50,000 sq ft manufacturing facility)

Salary: £15.00 per hour minimum guarantee to £20.00+ per hour depending on experience and skillset

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm (Enjoy a 3-day weekend!)

Overtime: Available when required (Enhanced overtime rates apply)

The Opportunity

Are you a skilled Upholsterer looking for a role that rewards your speed and precision while giving you your Fridays back?

Operating from our massive 50,000 sq ft factory in Leeds, we are a leading manufacturer of high-specification contract furniture. We supply diverse, stable sectors across the UK—including healthcare (care homes, hospitals), housing associations, student accommodation, and the hotel/leisure industry.

Due to a booming order book, we are looking for motivated, Experienced Upholsterers to join our team. We operate on a highly rewarding piecework system, meaning your earning potential is directly in your own hands.

The Role

Working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment, you will bring contract-specification furniture designs to life.

  • Upholstery Production: Prepare and upholster a varied range of contract furniture, including dining chairs, high-seat chairs, and settees.
  • Quality & Durability: Ensure every piece of furniture meets strict contract standards for aesthetic appeal, comfort, and commercial durability.
  • Efficiency: Work smart and fast to maximize your piecework earnings while maintaining flawless quality.
  • Workspace Safety: Maintain a clean, organized bench and adhere strictly to factory health and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional upholstery experience within a manufacturing, track, or furniture fabrication environment.
  • Skills: Strong practical ability, excellent hand-eye coordination, and a deep understanding of commercial upholstery techniques.
  • Attributes: Reliable, punctual, highly motivated, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a busy team.
