DIG TEAM LEADERS - EARN UP TO £2,250 PER WEEK (CIS)
NRSWA Qualified | Immediate Starts | Affinity Water Contract
Permanent (£18 per hour + bonus) and CIS opportunities available


We're looking for experienced Metering Dig Team Leaders to join our Affinity Water contract. Demand for our services continues to grow and we need skilled, qualified people who can hit the ground running.

This is not a trainee position. We're looking for the finished article. People who understand utility excavation, can lead a crew safely and effectively, and take pride in delivering high-quality work first time.

Whether you're looking for a permanent role or prefer to operate on a CIS basis, we offer excellent earning potential and a long-term programme of work.

CIS operatives can expect average earnings of around £2,250 per week based on current piecework rates and productivity.

The Role

You'll lead a dig team carrying out excavations, meter installations and reinstatement works across the Affinity Water network. Working in both public highways and private properties, you'll be responsible for ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities…

  • Plan and oversee daily excavation and reinstatement activities
  • Lead your team to deliver safe, productive and high-quality work
  • Carry out excavations in accordance with Streetworks requirements
  • Use CAT & Genny equipment to identify underground services
  • Ensure reinstatement works are completed to specification
  • Liaise with supervisors, planners and customers on site
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and on time
  • Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example
  • Support and develop team members where required

We’d love to hear from you if you can demonstrate…

  • NRSWA / Streetworks qualification (Units 1-6 minimum)
  • Previous experience as a Metering Dig Team Leader / Operative
  • Experience carrying out excavations within the public highway
  • CAT & Genny qualification and practical service avoidance experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions on site
