Role: Site Agent

Location: Birmingham/West Midlands

Start Date: Immediate Start

Reporting to: Project Manager

THE SITE AGENT ROLE

At KP Civils Ltd, we deliver a comprehensive range of civil engineering, utility, groundwork, and infrastructure projects for both public and private sector clients. We deliver large water infrastructure and rehab schemes on behalf of South Staffs Water.

Our highly experienced multi-utility teams bring expertise, efficiency, and innovation to every project, providing tailored solutions delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

With extensive accreditations and a proven track record, our teams have built a strong reputation for excellence, productivity, and reliability. We consistently complete projects ahead of schedule and take pride in exceeding client expectations; a commitment reflected in the repeat business we attract and the long-term partnerships we continue to develop.

We have a large range of utilities projects going forward and are seeking an experienced Site Agent to join our team. The Site Agent will ensure the efficient and safe management of our work schemes on behalf of our Public and Private Sector Partners. Experience in the Water Industry or similar projects is desirable here, you'll come from a background of delivering projects with many moving parts.

THE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SITE AGENT

  • Works Programme Development
  • Site Setup
  • Manage contractor and subcontractor relationships
  • Overseeing HSEQ and management of along with team
  • Follows QA procedures
  • Makes sure Temp Works Register is in place and updated
  • Notifies issues on-site of any programme, contractual or commercial issues with relevant teams.
  • Drives the pace of the project and plans the work in the field
  • Coordinates and priorities the sequence of activities on site
  • Manages a team of foremen and other site staff

Ideal candidate will preferably have:

  • Background working in the water industry
  • Driven and motivated mindset
  • Ambition to progress in a company
  • Proactive approach and able to work off own initiative
  • SMSTS an advantage, CSCS and First Aid

Duties will include:

  • Managing and coordinating trades and sub contractors on site
  • Ensuring the project is running in line with the programme
  • Reporting to the Project Manager
  • Client Liaison
  • Ensuring high levels of health and safety are maintained on site
  • Quality management
  • Reviewing RAMS
  • Issuing permits to work
  • Site inductions and toolbox talks
  • Material Requisition
  • SMSTS is an advantage

THE RIGHT SITE AGENT WILL BE THE FOLLOWING

  • Have strong people management skills
  • Experience in Water Mains/Rehab, Utilities and Civil Engineering works
  • Experience in the management of subcontractors
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working on highways developments (high speed and local authority is desirable)
