Overview

We are seeking someone friendly and dedicated to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, serving, and maintaining food safety standards while working in a welcoming setting. We close Sundays and Mondays. We are a fast-growing, independent coffee-house and this role will offer the opportunity for career development.

Availability throughout the week is essential - Full-time students only able to work Saturdays need not apply.

We will invest in you - If you show a friendly attitude, dedication and can work well within our team we will offer the opportunity to attend proffessional Barista training courses and gain further qualifications.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to at all times
  • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service
  • Handle cash transactions and operate the till with precision
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas throughout shifts
  • Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including assembling snacks or light meals
  • Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods
  • Restock supplies and ensure the workspace remains organized and inviting

Qualifications

  • Previous barista experience is desirable
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is desirable
  • Experience in serving customers with professionalism and warmth
  • Basic maths skills for handling cash and processing transactions accurately
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Friendly attitude with excellent communication skills
