Experienced Removals Porter / 3.5T Driver
A J Stephenson Removals Ltd – Billericay, Essex

A J Stephenson Removals Ltd are a long-established, professional removals company based in Billericay, Essex, with over 40 years of experience within the removals industry.

We pride ourselves on delivering a high standard of service, and our excellent level of repeat business reflects the professionalism and care provided by our team. We are a friendly, hardworking company and will make the right applicant feel welcome from day one.

We are currently looking for an experienced removals porter who is also confident driving 3.5 tonne Luton-style removal vans to join our professional team.

We are looking for long-term team members who take pride in their work, appearance and customer service.

PLEASE NOTE:
Applicants without a minimum of 2 years’ experience within the domestic removals industry and experience driving 3.5 tonne vans will not be considered.

Applicants must have:

  • Minimum 2 years’ removals experience
  • Experience driving 3.5 tonne removal vans
  • Good customer service skills
  • The ability to work professionally within a team
  • Excellent spoken English
  • A clean and professional appearance
  • References from previous removals employment

Desirable skills:

  • Basic handyman / practical skills
  • Experience dismantling and reassembling furniture

Salary: £32,500 – £34,320 depending on experience, attitude and ability.

Due to the nature of the removals industry, the role will occasionally involve Saturday work and nights away, with a generous overnight allowance provided.

No agency staff or subcontract crews — we employ our own professional removals team.

Due to the nature of the removals industry, fixed hours are not always possible. However, we always aim to be fair and reasonable with our team regarding working hours and workloads. We strongly believe that happy staff lead to happy customers.

Part-time positions may also be available for suitable applicants.
