At KFK we have a unique employment arrangement where for the first six months of your employment with us you will be hired on as self-employed basis. During this period, you will be classified as an independent contractor.

The decision to initiate employment as a self-employed individual is primarily to allow both parties to get acquainted with each other and assess the suitability of this role for your career aspirations, as well as the compatibility of our company culture with your professional goals.

As a self-employed contractor, the following key points apply:

1. Contractual Agreement: A contract will be provided that outlines the terms and conditions of the arrangement, including the scope of work, payment terms and other relevant details.

2. Payment Terms: We will require you to work 2 weeks in hand, then payments are made every Friday for the week you have just completed including any overtime that has occurred.

3. Tax and Benefits: As a self-employed contractor, you will be accountable for your tax obligations and will not be eligible for company-provided benefits such as sick pay, holiday pay and a pension.

4. Work Independence: You will have regular work daily and will be required to come into the office for 7am Mon to Fri. We aim to have everyone home by 5pm, however sometimes travelling back from your last job may incur delays, if this happens, overtime will be paid.

Upon successful completion of the initial six-month period, and based on a performance evaluation, we intend to transition you to a permanent employment status under the Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE) system.

We believe this approach allows us to create a mutually beneficial working relationship while providing you with the opportunity to demonstrate your skills and potential within our company. It will also grant you the chance to evaluate whether our company aligns with your long-term career objectives.

Please make sure that you are happy with these terms before applying for the position.
