We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier Driver to join our team in Cookstown.

As a Courier Driver, you will be responsible for delivering parcels and packages to designated locations within specific postal codes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

Please note : that this job is for the peak period to cover the end-of-year Christmas holidays. There may be an opportunity to extend the contract based on your attendance and performance.

Location: BT80 8SB, Cookfast
Pay Rate: £13.42 per hour
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM (1-hour mandatory unpaid lunch break)

Key Responsibilities:
Planning Journeys: Efficiently plan your daily delivery routes to maximize productivity and ensure all parcels are delivered on time.
Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload parcels from the delivery van, ensuring that all packages are handled with care.
Parcel Deliveries: Complete 65 to 75 drops per day, delivering parcels to various locations within the assigned postal codes.
Vehicle Management: Drive a 3.5-ton van provided by the company. Ensure the vehicle is parked back at the depot at the end of each shift and maintained in good condition.
Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety and data protection.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, handling deliveries professionally and resolving any customer issues or queries promptly.

Requirements:
Full UK Manual Driving License: Must possess a valid UK manual driving license.
Background Check: Candidates must be willing to undergo a comprehensive 5-year background check and criminal record screening.
Documentation: Must provide PTA or HMRC documentation, Proof of address, Proof of National insurance, Proof of Right to Work in UK (If you do not hold British Passport) and a valid DBS certificate.
Physical Stamina: Ability to handle the physical demands of the role, including lifting and carrying parcels, and being on your feet for extended periods.
