Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods between locations in a timely and efficient manner. As a Courier Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that deliveries are made accurately and on schedule, while maintaining excellent communication with both clients and warehouse staff.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a van to deliver packages and documents to various destinations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and warehouse personnel to confirm delivery details and address any concerns.
  • Load and unload items, ensuring that all packages are handled with care.
  • Perform heavy lifting as required during the loading and unloading process.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and any issues encountered during transit.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
  • Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition before each shift.
  • Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including sorting and organising packages for delivery.

Requirements

  • Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is preferred.
  • Proven experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job.
  • Good organisational skills to ensure timely deliveries and accurate record keeping.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, particularly in navigating delivery challenges.
