Van Driver – Home Delivery (DE74)

Ongoing Full-Time Work | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

We are currently recruiting experienced and dependable Van Drivers for a well-established home delivery operation based in DE74. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers seeking stable, full-time hours with the potential to secure a permanent position.

The Role

You will be delivering white goods and large domestic appliances — including fridges, washing machines, and cookers — directly to customers’ homes. All deliveries are completed within a two-person team to ensure safety, efficiency, and a high standard of customer service.

This is a customer-facing role, ideal for professional drivers who take pride in their work and enjoy providing a positive delivery experience.

Pay & Benefits

  • £12.71 per hour (standard rate)
  • £15.00 per hour after 48 hours per week
  • Ongoing, full-time work
  • Temp-to-perm opportunity

Progression Opportunity:
Following successful training, drivers may progress to single-person delivery routes with increased pay rates:

  • £13.71 per hour (standard rate)
  • £16.35 per hour (overtime rate)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver white goods and large domestic appliances safely to customers’ homes
  • Work collaboratively within a two-person delivery team
  • Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Handle goods carefully to prevent damage
  • Provide professional, courteous customer service
  • Complete delivery documentation accurately
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and compliance

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
  • No DR or IN convictions
  • Previous multi-drop or home delivery experience preferred (not essential)
  • Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
  • Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Must be aged 21 or over

Shift Information

  • Start time: 05:00 - 06:00
  • 8–12 hour shifts
  • Overtime paid
