Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. As a Van Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive a van to transport goods to various locations.
  • Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
  • Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Van Driver or Delivery Driver is preferred but not essential.
  • A valid driving licence is required for this position.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and customers.
  • Experience with heavy lifting and physical work is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is beneficial.
