Full-Time Van Driver

Pay: £14.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Textrade UK, a textile wholesale company, is looking for a reliable full-time Van Driver to join our team as soon as possible.

This is a hands-on, physically active role involving driving, collecting textiles from multiple locations, loading and unloading the van, and moving and storing goods within our warehouse.

Working Hours

This role operates on a 4 days on, 2 days off rotating shift pattern, with 10-hour shifts.

Please note: As this is a continuous rotating shift pattern, your working days will change from week to week. The rota includes weekends and bank holidays, and applicants must be available to work these days when they fall within their scheduled four working days.

Overtime opportunities may also be available. A flexible approach is required to meet operational needs.

Main Duties

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving a company van to collection locations
  • Collecting textiles from multiple sites
  • Loading and unloading the vehicle
  • Moving, handling and storing goods within the warehouse
  • Carrying out regular manual-handling tasks throughout the shift
  • Ensuring goods are transported and stored safely
  • Keeping the vehicle and working areas clean and organised
  • Following company health and safety procedures

Driving & Insurance Requirements

Due to the terms of our company vehicle insurance policy, drivers of our company vans must be aged 30 or over. Unfortunately, our current insurance policy does not provide cover for company van drivers aged 29 or under.

Applicants must also hold a valid driving licence appropriate for the company vehicle.

Previous van-driving experience: 1 year preferred.
