Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Part-time Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely delivering goods to customers, ensuring timely and professional service. This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment, with an emphasis on excellent customer interaction and safe driving practices. Candidates should possess a valid driver’s licence and experience in commercial driving or warehouse operations. A positive attitude and strong communication skills are essential to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans or lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Load, unload, and secure goods for delivery, including heavy lifting when necessary
  • Plan efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals at customer locations
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance checks
  • Assist with warehouse tasks such as stock organisation and inventory management when required
  • Ensure the vehicle remains clean and well-maintained throughout shifts

Experience

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and heavy lifting procedures is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
  • Valid driver’s licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles (e.g., van or lorry)
  • Experience in driving within urban or rural environments, demonstrating safe driving practices
