Duties

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm to set a positive tone for their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated clearly to the kitchen staff
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor throughout each interaction
• Assist guests with menu selections, upselling specials or beverages to enhance their experience and increase sales
• Monitor tables regularly to check on guest satisfaction, address any concerns promptly, and clear empty dishes as needed
• Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper handling of food and beverages to ensure quality and hygiene standards are met
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and delivery times for smooth service flow
• Maintain cleanliness of service areas, tables, and dining spaces in accordance with health regulations

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
• Strong knowledge of serving techniques, food safety standards, and basic food preparation skills
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Basic math skills for handling bills, payments, and change accurately
• Kitchen experience or culinary knowledge is a plus for understanding food presentation and preparation processes
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and restaurant revenue
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in a fast-paced environment

Pay: From £12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 45.0 per week
