Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Waitress/Front of House to join our vibrant team. This role involves delivering exceptional guest service in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring customers enjoy a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the food and beverage industry.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Take accurate food and drink orders using POS systems or manually, ensuring clarity for the kitchen and bar staff
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene
• Provide attentive guest service, addressing any special requests or dietary requirements
• Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities and enhance guest satisfaction
• Clear tables and assist with setting up or resetting dining areas as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of front-of-house areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations
• Follow food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
• Assist with basic food preparation or bar service if required during busy periods

Skills

• Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is desirable but not essential
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and serving protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests effectively
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Good organisational skills and time management to handle multiple tables simultaneously
• Basic maths skills for handling bills, payments, and cash handling accurately
• Familiarity with food preparation or culinary processes is a plus
• Ability to work well within a team and adapt quickly to changing priorities
• A friendly, professional demeanour with a genuine passion for guest service and hospitality excellence

Pay: From £12.75 per hour
