Full job description

We are looking for a talented and ambitious Nuke Compositor to join NxGen studio’s growing AI hybrid compositing team.

This role is ideal for a compositor with strong foundational experience in high-end VFX or post-production who is excited by the evolving intersection of traditional compositing and AI-assisted workflows. We are seeking someone with excellent compositing fundamentals, strong creative instincts, and a genuine curiosity for how emerging AI technologies can enhance modern production pipelines.

Working closely with the Lead Compositor, AI Artists and Creative Directors, you will help integrate live-action photography, CG elements, and AI-generated imagery into visually cohesive and production-ready final outputs.

This is a highly collaborative role focused on technical problem-solving, visual consistency, and helping bridge the gap between AI-assisted generation and high-end compositing craft.

NxGen is Sky Creative’s AI-first hybrid studio, built to redefine how creative work is imagined, produced, and delivered. By combining world-class talent with intelligent systems, scalable infrastructure, and agile production models, we enable teams to move faster, collaborate smarter, and unlock greater creative freedom. More than a studio, NxGen represents a new approach to modern content creation — driven by innovation, experimentation, and adaptability.

What you'll do

AI Hybrid Compositing

  • Composite high-quality shots combining live-action, CG, and AI-generated elements.

  • Help integrate AI-assisted outputs into production-ready imagery while maintaining realism, continuity, and creative intent.

  • Work across a range of hybrid workflows involving traditional VFX techniques alongside emerging AI methodologies.

  • Support the refinement, cleanup, enhancement, and final integration of AI-generated content within compositing pipelines.

Creative & Technical Shot Execution

  • Apply strong compositing fundamentals including colour matching, edge refinement, relighting, integration, cleanup, layering, depth, and visual continuity.

  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail across lighting, composition, texture, realism, and cinematic presentation.

  • Show initiative in identifying opportunities for shot improvement and workflow efficiency.

  • Contribute toward maintaining a high standard of visual polish and consistency across projects.

AI Workflow Collaboration

  • Work closely with AI Hybrid Artists and ideation teams to help transition concepts into achievable final shots.

  • Help identify the most effective tools and workflows for integrating AI-generated material into compositing pipelines.

  • Maintain awareness of the strengths, limitations, and practical applications of evolving AI image and video generation technologies.

  • Support experimentation and iteration within AI-assisted workflows while ensuring outputs remain commercially viable and technically robust.

Learning & Development

  • Demonstrate curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging AI tools, workflows, and hybrid production techniques.

  • Take an active interest in developing both technical and creative skills.

  • Seek feedback positively and apply learnings to continually improve craft and execution quality.

  • Contribute positively to team culture through collaboration, initiative, and openness to experimentation.

What you'll bring

  • Multi-year experience working as a nuke compositor within professional VFX, post-production, or creative studio environments with strong focus on advertising output.

  • Experience compositing live-action and CG imagery with a strong eye for realism and integration.

  • Interest in AI-assisted creative workflows and emerging production technologies.

  • Strong artistic eye for composition, lighting, colour, texture, and cinematic detail.

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Good communication skills and collaborative mindset.

  • Familiarity with ShotGrid or equivalent production tracking tools is advantageous.

  • Experience with node-based AI workflow tools such as ComfyUI, Flora, or Weavy is a plus.

  • Familiarity with CG software such as Houdini or Cinema 4D is beneficial but not essential.

  • Experience with Nuke Studio, DaVinci Resolve, or editorial/conform workflows is advantageous.
