Scantox is expanding its marketing capability to support growth across complex preclinical service areas. We are looking for a Scientific Marketing Manager who can translate technical expertise into clear, credible marketing content and commercially useful narratives.

Scantox operates as an international group, with scientific, commercial and operational colleagues located across Europe and North America. Marketing is a group-level function supporting Scantox business units and locations rather than operating as separate site-based teams. Although this position has a defined European base, its remit and day-to-day collaboration are international.

Depending on the candidate this role can be based in either our site in Manchester in the UK, Graz in Austria or Køge in Denmark.

In this role, you will work closely with Commercial leads, scientific leaders and subject-matter experts to develop business unit content plans, scientific campaigns, webinars, publications, conference materials and sales-enablement content.

Your tasks

  • Develop business unit content plans and scientific editorial calendars across webinars, application notes, articles, case studies, campaign themes and conference abstracts.
  • Lead development of scientifically credible marketing content, ensuring technical accuracy, commercial relevance and alignment with Scantox brand standards.
  • Build messaging frameworks, service value propositions, proof points and audience positioning for scientific and technical buyers.
  • Coordinate subject-matter expert briefing, contribution, review and approval workflows.
  • Support publications, conference abstracts and scientific sales-enablement materials that help generate leads, support cross-selling and strengthen customer engagement.
  • Work with Marketing Coordinators to manage briefs, priorities, deadlines and quality assurance.

Your profile

This role requires scientific credibility, commercial judgment and the ability to make complex information useful to defined customer audiences. We are looking for someone who has:

  • A relevant background in life sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, toxicology, biotechnology, veterinary science or a related field.
  • Experience in scientific marketing, product marketing, content strategy or a comparable role in a complex B2B environment.
  • Experience from a CRO, pharmaceutical, biotech, medical technology or other research-driven organization is strongly preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to obtain input from busy scientific experts.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and strong attention to technical accuracy.
  • Working proficiency with Office 365 and experience using digital content, campaign or marketing platforms such as HubSpot, WordPress or Adobe Creative Cloud applications.

We can offer
A job with a high degree of independence in a highly skilled and scientific team, where you will be able to use and develop your skills and competences.
