EE is one of the UK’s largest subscription businesses, serving 25 million customers, backed by the UK’s fastest mobile network, and offering superfast connections in more places than any other mobile provider.
We’re unlocking the power of technology to empower millions of people and our employees are key to our success. At EE we want our colleagues to bring their true selves to work, enjoy great benefits, flexibility, and development opportunities, and make an impact in their roles.
When we ask our people to describe the culture at EE, there’s one term that crops up again and again: fast moving. We’re a tech business, after all, so we’re always facing forward, looking for new ways to keep people connected.
EE are also part of BT Group, meaning we’re even bigger than you might think. Millions of people rely on us every day to help them live their lives, power their businesses, and keep their public services running. We connect friends to family, clients to colleagues, people to possibilities. We keep the wheels of business spinning, and the emergency services responding.
About this role:
We’ve got something really special here, something we’re all incredibly proud to be part of. Every day we have the chance to positively impact the lives of the millions of customers that engage with us. To bring them close to the things that matter most to them. This is your chance to join us on our ground-breaking journey.
Working as an apprentice within the Channel Engagement and Execution team, this role is all about creating eye-catching visuals and videos for EE’s frontline teams to engage colleague based in our Contact Centres and Retail stores. You’ll get hands-on with filming, editing, and creating content that will actually make a difference.
You’ll get stuck into loads of cool projects, like event coverage, making fun and engaging team videos, and creating campaigns that grab attention. You’ll also get access to industry-standard gear and software like Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
What you’ll be doing
• Bring Ideas to Life: You’ll play a key role in brainstorming and planning creative content that’s not just visually appealing but also packs a punch. Whether it’s a quick-hit video or a full-on campaign, you’ll help shape ideas into something awesome.
• Get Behind the Camera: Get hands-on with filming, capturing engaging stories from people all across the UK. You’ll learn how to use industry-standard cameras and equipment to shoot content that stands out—whether it’s for team events, customer engagement, or showcasing cool projects.
• Edit Like a Pro: Once the footage is captured, it’s your time to shine. Using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, you’ll edit videos, add special effects, and polish content to a professional standard. Think slick transitions, eye-catching visuals, and soundtracks that hit just right.
• Stay Ahead of the Game: Social media and digital trends move fast, and you’ll be keeping up with what’s hot. From TikTok-style reels to storytelling that resonates, you’ll bring fresh ideas to keep content modern, relevant, and scroll-stopping.
• Work on Big Projects: You’ll get to be part of major campaigns—whether it’s creating a hype video for an internal event, capturing behind-the-scenes moments, or designing content to keep frontline teams motivated and engaged.
• Collaborate with the Team: You won’t be doing this alone. You’ll work closely with an experienced videographer and designer, who’ll guide and support you as you learn. You’ll also have the chance to bounce ideas around and contribute your own creative spin in team discussions.
• Prep Like a Boss: Before the camera starts rolling, you’ll be involved in the pre-production side of things—storyboarding, planning the shoot, organising equipment, and making sure everything’s ready to go.
• Create for All Platforms: Your content will be seen everywhere—from internal platforms to keep teams informed and inspired, to videos tailored for specific audiences. You’ll learn how to optimise content for different platforms, ensuring it looks sharp and performs well wherever it’s shared.
• Organise Like a Pro: Content creation can get messy, but you’ll help keep things organised. From managing files to storing footage securely, you’ll make sure everything’s easy to find when it’s needed.
• Review and Improve: After content is published, you’ll help evaluate how it performed. What worked? What could’ve been better? Using feedback, you’ll refine your approach and keep levelling up your skills.
• Build Client Relationships: You’ll also get the chance to chat with clients, take briefs, and translate their ideas into visuals they’ll love. You’ll develop your professional skills while building confidence in communicating with different people.
Gain Addition Skills: As a Content Creator Apprentice, you’ll study whilst working alongside our Content and Communications team, actively applying what you learn to your role within EE. Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you’ll receive a level 3 Content Creator award standard equal to an A-Level qualification.
The course runs for 13 months plus End Point Assessment. You’ll spend a minimum of 20% of your time learning and studying supported by our apprenticeship provider and your team.
After you have successfully completed your apprenticeship qualification and scheme, we’ll support you in securing a role that is best aligned to your strengths and interests.
Inclusion and Diversity: Whatever your age, race, sexuality, disability, religion, or gender identity, we recognise and celebrate our differences and embrace diversity at all levels. Everyone is welcome.
Entry Requirements
You’ll also need a minimum of five GCSEs at grades 4-9 (C or above) including English and Maths. Equivalent qualifications are accepted. In addition, a GCSE qualification in a creative subject such as design, photography or media studies will be an advantage.
All applicants will need a full UK Right to Work for the duration 13 months of their scheme or they will not be able to apply.
