We’re looking for a Social Media & Content Executive to join our team in Macclesfield town centre and grow our existing Marketing team.

About the role:

At Gumpo, we are passionate about creating engaging social content. We are a full-service marketing agency in the UK and we're looking for a talented Social Media and Content Executive to join our dynamic team. Your work will help to drive engagement, improve conversion rates, and elevate clients' online presence.

This Social Media and Content Executive will have experience:

  • Creating and posting engaging content across social media platforms.
  • Filming & editing video and static content for multiple social media platforms.
  • Working with clients and the wider marketing team to develop social strategy and ensure the delivery of social content for brands in various industries.

To be successful as a Social Media and Content Executive, you should keep informed about the latest social trends and how to successfully leverage these to create engaging content for brands. You will be working directly with the Social Media Manager and assisting in managing a diverse range of social media accounts. Ultimately, we'd like you to take ideas from concept to execution, including:

  • Creating organic social content calendars coordinating with the wider team and clients.
  • Setting up organic social media campaigns on various platforms and optimise performance regularly.
  • Bringing organic social content ideas to life through filming & editing video content at on-site content shoots
  • Assisting in sales pitches and on client calls when required.
  • Driving to get results and growing with the agency.
  • Creating and building communities of loyal followers and managing them on different social media platforms.

About you:

The ideal candidate is a chameleon, able to adjust writing style and asset creation to adapt to each client’s tone of voice and brand image. We're looking to hire someone who meets challenges head-on and enjoys the satisfaction of a job well done. We need someone who works well as part of a team but also will take a task they’ve been assigned and run with it. You have a proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong work ethic and a drive to learn more.

What else do you need?

  • 2+ years of experience in social media management and content creation, preferably in a digital marketing or agency environment.
  • Strong videography and photography skills with experience shooting content for brands.
  • Strong expertise in using social media scheduling software, such as Hootsuite, Later, or Agorapulse.
  • Proven experience managing accounts across several different social media platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram.
  • Proficient in Content Creation from ideation to editing and able to explain desired concepts to external parties.
  • Experience with editing software such as Canva, Adobe Creator Suite or CapCut.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholder efficiently.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Must be willing to work in Macclesfield, UK (25-minute direct train to Manchester Piccadilly).

Preferred:

  • Experience with influencer collaboration management
  • Working knowledge of paid ad campaign management
  • Experience developing and creating social media strategies
