Part-Time PA to Entrepreneur & Film Producer in Guildford
Location: Guildford, Surrey (GU3)
Pay: £13.00 per hour
Hours: Approximately 12–15 hours per week
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday on-site
Job type: Part-time
Start date: Immediate — ideally within 2 weeks
Working arrangements: Initially on-site, with scope for some home working once established
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised, digitally savvy and proactive Part-Time Personal Assistant to work directly alongside a Guildford-based entrepreneur and film producer with business interests spanning digital media, technology startups, film and television, property development and online education.
This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who is exceptionally comfortable with technology, enthusiastic about artificial intelligence and capable of independently getting things done.
A major part of the role involves using modern AI tools — including ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code and AI-powered email and productivity platforms — to streamline operations, conduct research, manage communications and help develop several established and emerging businesses.
The central objective is to take ownership of day-to-day tasks, solve problems independently and free up the entrepreneur to focus on higher-level strategy and business development.
The role is particularly well suited to a current university student, recent graduate or ambitious individual interested in entrepreneurship, digital marketing, AI, film and television.
Working hours can offer some flexibility around university studies, but regular in-person availability in Guildford on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays is essential, particularly during the initial training period.
Once fully up to speed, there may be opportunities to work from home for part of the week.
Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Marketing, Social Media & Business Operations
A significant proportion of the role will involve working on Industrial Scripts, an established international screenwriting and film industry business.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing and developing social media activity across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube.
- Creating, editing and repurposing video content, including short-form clips, reels and promotional videos.
- Using AI-powered tools to accelerate content creation, scheduling and marketing.
- Supporting website optimisation, SEO and initiatives to increase traffic and customer acquisition.
- Working with Brevo and other email marketing platforms to develop campaigns, re-engage existing customers and generate sales.
- Researching competitors, marketing opportunities and audience growth strategies.
- Assisting with customer support, email enquiries and customer communications.
- Helping improve and automate existing business processes.
2. Property Development, Planning & Personal Administration
The successful candidate will assist with the ongoing management, improvement and development of residential properties in Surrey and London.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with planning permission applications and property development projects.
- Liaising with planning consultants, architects, structural engineers, surveyors, tradespeople and contractors.
- Using AI-powered email and research tools to manage correspondence and follow up on outstanding matters.
- Researching building materials, suppliers, quotations and property improvement options.
- Helping coordinate refurbishment and maintenance works.
- Organising documentation, schedules, quotations and project information.
- Managing appointments, administrative tasks and occasional personal errands.
- Identifying opportunities to simplify, automate and improve everyday administration.
3. Technology Startup & AI-Assisted Development
The role will also involve contributing to a confidential early-stage technology venture focused on high society, premium membership and personal connections.
Responsibilities may include:
- Using Claude Code and other AI development tools to assist with the ongoing development and refinement of a digital platform.
- Researching competitors, features, functionality and market opportunities.
- Testing website and app functionality and identifying improvements.
- Researching celebrities, public figures, entrepreneurs, influencers and potential brand ambassadors.
- Identifying relevant professional representatives, talent agencies and potential strategic partners.
- Assisting with professional outreach, partnership research and communications.
- Supporting marketing, branding, audience development and launch preparation.
Previous coding experience is not essential, but applicants should be genuinely enthusiastic about learning to use AI-powered development tools.
Discretion and confidentiality will be particularly important.
4. Film & Television Development & Production
A smaller proportion of the role will involve assisting with film and television development and production projects.
Responsibilities may include:
- Researching production companies, talent agencies, actors, directors and industry contacts.
- Assisting with professional email outreach and project submissions.
- Organising project materials, correspondence and contact databases.
- Researching potential creative collaborators, financiers and production partners.
- Supporting occasional production-related administration.
An interest in film, television and the entertainment industry would be a significant advantage.
Essential Requirements
We are looking for someone who is exceptionally efficient, reliable, organised and comfortable working with modern digital technologies.
Applicants must demonstrate:
- Local availability: Based within approximately 10 miles of Guildford, or able to demonstrate a very short and reliable commute to GU3.
- In-person availability: Able to work on-site on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- Own transport: A full driving licence and regular access to their own car are essential.
- Immediate availability: Able to start within approximately one week of an offer.
- Excellent digital literacy: Confident using AI assistants, email platforms, cloud software, online tools and modern productivity applications.
- Social media knowledge: Good understanding of major social media platforms, content creation and digital marketing.
- Video editing skills: Some practical experience of video editing, clipping or repurposing content using tools such as CapCut, Canva, Premiere Pro or similar.
- Exceptional attention to detail: A very low basic error rate, particularly when handling correspondence, names, dates, documents and external communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication: Strong English, a professional email style and a good telephone manner.
- Independent problem-solving: The ability to research unfamiliar subjects, learn new tools and complete tasks without constant supervision.
- Strong organisation: Able to manage multiple projects, follow up proactively and keep track of outstanding actions.
- Discretion: Comfortable handling confidential business and personal information.
Highly Desirable
- Experience using ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code or similar AI platforms.
- Experience with Brevo, Mailchimp or other email marketing tools.
- Familiarity with WordPress, website administration or SEO.
- Experience creating short-form social media videos.
- Interest in entrepreneurship, technology startups and online business.
- Interest in film, television and the entertainment industry.
- Experience with project management, administrative support or customer service.
- Familiarity with social media analytics, audience growth and marketing campaigns.
Previous PA experience is not essential. We are more interested in intelligence, initiative, efficiency, digital confidence and a genuine willingness to learn.
Working Arrangements
The role will initially involve approximately 12–15 hours per week, spread across Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Working hours can be discussed to accommodate university timetables or other commitments, provided regular in-person availability is maintained.
The successful candidate will initially work alongside the employer at a private home office on the outskirts of Guildford.
Once familiar with the businesses, systems and working arrangements, there may be scope for some remote working.
This position is particularly suitable for a current university student or recent graduate seeking valuable professional experience alongside their studies or other commitments.
Benefits
- Flexible part-time hours.
- Exposure to multiple businesses and entrepreneurial ventures.
- Practical experience using cutting-edge AI tools.
- Opportunities to develop skills in digital marketing, social media and video editing.
- Insight into technology startups, film and television production, and property development.
- Direct mentoring and valuable experience working alongside and learning directly from an established entrepreneur.
- Scope for some working from home once established.
- Free on-site parking.
- Access to an on-site gym, subject to availability.
- Potential for additional hours and responsibilities over time.
