Senior Motion Producer

Full Time

Based in Norwich with travel required for client projects

Wanted – a dynamic, creative, and organised Senior Motion Producer/Director to join an outstanding Motion studio in a fast-paced brand experience agency.

About us

This is a unique opportunity to join Production bureau Limited which is a growing brand experience agency based in Norwich as we celebrate over 35 years in business. With three offices in the UK, two in Norwich and one in Edinburgh employing circa 100+ staff, we continue to successfully deliver creative projects all over the globe for some of the most respected companies across multiple sectors.

The role

As part of the Motion team you will be working alongside a team of excellent creative colleagues supporting the delivery of professional motion-based projects for a wide range of corporate clients. You will be leading the creation, development and delivery of motion projects to a high standard liaising directly with clients or with Pb colleagues. You will be driven by creativity and will know how to define and exceed on briefs as well as having significant project management experience to ensure budgets, tight timescales and client expectations are met.

The successful candidate will project manage all aspects of video production and creatively direct individual motion projects from inception to delivery and play a part in the brief, scripting, storyboarding, location recces, rehearsals, and casting. Prior experience of producing and issuing client quotes and contributing to pitches is required. Understanding and experience of the edit process is essential. Microsoft Office software knowledge is essential, and experience in motion production software such as the Adobe Suite.

Being a Senior Motion Producer, you will possess considerable knowledge, skill and experience and have ability and desire to pass on your skills and knowledge to colleagues. You will also possess excellent client relationship skills and have experience of maintaining and growing client accounts whilst also actively pursuing commercial and creative opportunities for Pb.

Main Duties

  • To support the client and/or internal stakeholders in the creative interpretation of briefs.
  • To conceive, develop, create, and deliver high quality, professional motion-based client projects either in full or as partial elements of film/video productions.
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams (Editors, Producers, Camera crews, Operations and Designers).
  • Delivery of innovative creative solutions against challenging deadlines.
  • To support the pitch process.
  • To help determine the budget and timescales of projects and keeping relevant Event Producer updated with progress.
  • To actively engage with clients, maintaining and developing client relationships.
  • Sourcing and purchasing props, costumes and media assets where needed.
  • Sourcing copyright for use of third-party assets such as music.
  • Booking freelance crew, suppliers, venues, and locations.
  • Co-ordinating production travel, accommodation, and other shoot logistics, and producing a call sheet.
  • Overseeing /directing shoots to meet client and script/shot specifications, including conducting interviews with contributors and logging best takes.
  • Support with the communication and promotion of Motion team achievements and ambitions through social media, online and with clients.

The person

  • Experience of working across many different commercial projects, with a showreel that demonstrates a variety of styles.
  • Experience of using camera or editing software would be desirable (MAC based).
  • Understanding of the edit process is essential.
  • Experience of visual storytelling, design, and mood setting.
  • Experience of directing/overseeing shoots.
  • Client relationship experience.
  • Creative and innovative with a keen eye on the latest trends.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Enjoy working on multiple projects at the same time.
  • A genuine interest in live events, exhibitions and engagement is desirable.

As part of the recruitment process you must provide a link to a professional showreel showcasing examples of your work and be comfortable talking through some aspects of this should you be interviewed. Candidates will not be selected for interview without a showreel.

This role is not a remote role, and candidates will be expected to work from the Norwich studio or on-site at various locations when supporting project delivery. A flexible approach to working hours and working some weekends may be required as part of the role.
