Full job description

Career opportunity in the digital media sector.

Palladian Publications Ltd is a privately owned business headquartered in Farnham, Surrey, UK. A leader in its field, the company specialises in the publication of high-quality B2B magazines and other digital media for professional readers within the global energy and construction materials sectors.

We are seeking an organised, process-minded Digital Assistant to run the production of our spotlight video interviews and podcasts from raw recording to finished file.

Much of the editing is handled by an AI-assisted workflow; your job is to run the workflow reliably, keep every episode moving, and know at a glance where each one is. You will also help keep our websites up to date by adding and formatting content through our admin panel.

This is a role for someone who likes a clear process, a tidy tracker and seeing several jobs through at once. You do not need any experience of video or audio editing; full training is provided.

What We Are Looking For

  • Confident, everyday Excel user: comfortable building and maintaining a tracker with filters, dates, drop-downs and simple formulas, and keeping it accurate without being asked.
  • Highly organised, with a track record of running several jobs at once and following a multi-step process to the letter.
  • Methodical and careful: you notice a misspelt name, a wrong logo or a missing file before anyone else does.
  • Comfortable learning new software and following written procedures; happy to ask when something is unclear.
  • Good written English and a clear, polite communication style with colleagues and interviewees.
  • Reliable with deadlines and calm when several things land at once.
  • General computer literacy: files and folders, cloud storage, web browsers and content management systems.

Desirable Skills

  • Any exposure to video or audio editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition or similar). Not required: full training is given.
  • Experience adding content to a website through a CMS or admin panel.
  • Experience working with AI tools in a workplace setting.

Because we are a small office, you will also no doubt get your share of odd jobs.

We will be looking for a history of academic achievement as well as evidence of a well-rounded individual with a variety of interests.

Please note that candidates must have the legal right to live and work in the UK as we are unable to provide sponsorship.

Apply in writing for the Digital Assistant role with your full CV and covering letter to the Managing Editor.

Please note that Palladian Publications Ltd is based in Farnham, Surrey, approximately 40 miles south of London. Our office is a five-minute walk from Farnham railway station.
