Full job description

Location: Head Office is based in Cambridge. We will consider applicants from across the UK, within reasonable distance to work from our HQ a few times per month.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

At Football Fun Factory, we're on a mission to become the world's leading children's football coaching organisation, and we're looking for a talented, ambitious and creative Short Form Content Creator to help us tell our story.

We're not looking for someone who simply knows how to film and edit videos. We're looking for someone who understands what makes people stop scrolling, what makes content shareable and, most importantly, how to turn everyday moments into compelling stories.

From capturing the joy of children experiencing football, to documenting the entrepreneurial journey of our Founders, this is an opportunity to play a central role in building the profile of a fast-growing, ambitious and exciting brand.

About Football Fun Factory

Football Fun Factory is the UK's number one children’s football brand, rapidly expanding across the UK and overseas.

Our mission is simple: to make football fun, inclusive and accessible to every child, regardless of their ability or experience.

But we're about much more than football.

We're about building confidence, creating friendships, inspiring children and developing a community that positively impacts thousands of families.

We're also a business with a story worth telling. From our humble beginnings to building an international franchise organisation, our Founders are passionate about sharing their experiences, challenges, successes and ambitions.

That's where you come in.

The Role

As our Short Form Content Creator, you'll be responsible for creating engaging, entertaining and story-driven video content that showcases the personality, purpose and people behind Football Fun Factory.

You'll work closely with our marketing team and Founders, James Cutting and Jonny Martin, to develop content that builds brand awareness, drives engagement and helps us reach new audiences.

Your content will primarily be created for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn.

We want someone who can bring fresh ideas, experiment with different formats and help us create content that people watch and engage with.

What You'll Be Doing

Creating standout social-first, short-form content

  • Planning, filming and editing engaging short-form videos for our social media channels.
  • Capturing the fun, energy, laughter and unforgettable moments that happen at Football Fun Factory sessions.
  • Developing creative concepts, storytelling formats, trending content and original video ideas.
  • Producing high-quality, attention-grabbing content with compelling hooks, engaging edits and strong narratives.
  • Repurposing footage into multiple pieces of content optimised for different platforms.

Building the personal brands of our Founders

  • Working directly with James and Jonny to develop their personal brands through authentic, engaging content.
  • Capturing behind-the-scenes moments, business insights, entrepreneurial experiences and the realities of growing a business.
  • Turning conversations, experiences and everyday activities into entertaining and thought-provoking short-form videos.
  • Identifying opportunities to create content around business growth, football coaching, franchising, leadership, football and entrepreneurship.

Bringing the Football Fun Factory story to life

  • Visiting sessions, events and franchise locations to capture authentic content.
  • Showcasing the incredible experiences of children, parents, coaches and franchisees.
  • Sharing inspiring stories from across our growing franchise network.
  • Documenting the growth of Football Fun Factory, including new locations, international expansion, partnerships and major milestones.
  • Creating content that celebrates our culture, values and the people who make Football Fun Factory special.

Driving creativity and innovation

  • Staying ahead of social media trends, emerging formats and platform developments.
  • Generating fresh ideas that challenge conventional approaches to children's football content.
  • Working with the marketing team to develop a consistent and engaging content pipeline.
  • Reviewing content performance and using insights to improve reach, engagement and audience growth.
  • Experimenting with new approaches and being confident enough to try something different.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who lives and breathes content creation and truly understands what performs well and why on socials.

You'll be creative, proactive, confident and full of ideas. You'll understand that great content isn't always about expensive equipment or perfect production quality. It's about capturing attention, telling stories and making people feel something.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Proven experience creating engaging short-form video content.
  • Strong filming and editing skills, using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro or similar.
  • An excellent understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn.
  • A natural instinct for storytelling, humour, timing and audience engagement.
  • The ability to spot content opportunities that others might miss.
  • Confidence directing people on camera and making them feel comfortable.
  • A proactive, organised and self-motivated approach.
  • A willingness to travel to capture content at sessions, events and other locations.
  • A passion for creativity, social media and producing content that makes an impact.

Experience in sport, franchising or children's activities would be beneficial, but it's certainly not essential.

What matters most is your creativity, personality, attitude and ability to produce brilliant content.

Why Join Football Fun Factory?

This isn't a role where you'll be sitting behind a desk waiting for someone to tell you what to create.

You'll have the freedom to develop ideas, experiment with content and make a genuine impact on the growth of our brand.

You'll work directly with the Founders of an ambitious business, experience the journey of scaling an international franchise organisation and have access to a huge range of stories, personalities and experiences.

You'll be joining a positive, passionate and supportive team that believes in doing things differently.

Most importantly, you'll be helping to tell the story of a business that is making a genuine difference to children's lives.

How to Apply

We don't just want to read your CV. We want to see what you can create!

Please send us:

  • Your CV or a brief introduction about yourself.
  • Examples of short-form content you've created, including links to your portfolio or social media accounts.
  • A short explanation of why you'd love to join Football Fun Factory.

Bonus points: Send us a short video introducing yourself and explaining why you think you'd be brilliant at this role.

If you're a creative storyteller who loves producing content, thrives on new ideas and wants to be part of an exciting growth journey, we'd love to hear from you.
