Full job description
Are you a creative, commercially minded marketer who loves producing engaging content and bringing ideas to life?
We're looking for a Digital Media and Marketing Officer to join our newly formed Engagement team at Live Borders. This is an opportunity to get involved at an exciting time, as we rethink our approach to marketing, refresh our brand, develop a new website and build our social media strategy.
You'll play a key role in creating content and delivering campaigns that connect with audiences, encourage participation and drive growth across our services.
What you'll be doing
You'll create engaging content across a range of channels, from eye-catching social media posts and Reels to photography, video, website content and marketing materials.
You'll also:
- Manage our social media content calendar, identifying opportunities to engage existing audiences and reach new ones.
- Support the planning, delivery and evaluation of marketing campaigns across our diverse services.
- Work with our digital agency on paid advertising campaigns.
- Support media relations, PR and audience engagement.
- Use audience insights and performance data to help improve our marketing.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who's creative, proactive and confident producing content themselves. You'll have strong copywriting skills, practical experience with design and video editing tools, and the ability to independently film and edit short-form social media videos, including Reels.
You'll be organised, adaptable and comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change. Just as importantly, you'll understand how effective marketing can engage audiences, increase participation and contribute to growth.
You don't need a formal marketing qualification. We're interested in your skills, experience, ideas and what you can create.
Why join Live Borders?
As a charity, Live Borders delivers sport, leisure, libraries, museums, arts, heritage and lifelong learning services across the Scottish Borders.
Our Engagement team is newly formed, and we're reviewing everything from our brand and website to how we communicate and engage with our audiences. It's a chance to help shape how we work, bring fresh ideas and develop your skills as part of a collaborative team.
How to apply
Apply online through BambooHR, uploading your CV and completing the supporting statement to tell us how you meet the requirements of the job description. Both are required and will be considered during shortlisting.
We'd also love to see what you've created. Please include links in your CV to Reels, short-form videos or other multimedia content you've personally produced.
For more information or an informal conversation about the role, please contact the Head of Engagement at nbarton-maynard@liveborders.org.uk
