Full job description

Who are the MTM Agency?

If you want to join an award-winning agency that delivers bold ideas and outstanding results, we’d love to hear from you. The MTM Agency is a market-leading integrated agency based in Southampton. We are part of IDHL, one of the UK’s largest digital marketing agencies. Together, we partner with an enviable roster of international clients.

Your role as Senior Content Manager:

Part of the wider MTM Agency creative and production team, the Senior Content Creator / Videographer plays a leading role in the creation of high-quality video, photography and motion-based content, from concept through to final delivery, in collaboration with the Creative Director and wider team. This is a hybrid hands-on role combining filming, photography, editing and post-production, requiring a strong storyteller with excellent technical production skills and the confidence to operate independently on shoots, while also delivering polished edits and motion-led content in the studio.

While the role includes hands-on filming and content capture, it is primarily weighted toward post-production, with the majority of day-to-day responsibilities centred around editing, motion content creation and delivery across multiple client projects. Working from creative briefs, this position plays a key role in shaping visual output, maintaining technical excellence, supporting creative quality and helping evolve the agency’s content capabilities across a diverse client portfolio.

Content Creation & Editing:

  • Collaborating with creative teams, account teams and stakeholders to interpret briefs and translate them into compelling visual narratives

  • Editing video content to a high professional standard, including colour correction, audio balancing, sound design, graphic animation and platform-specific versioning

  • Creating engaging edits for a range of outputs including brand films, campaign content, social assets, case studies, internal communications and digital marketing content

  • Applying a strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, accessibility, aspect ratios and platform best practice across all deliverables

  • Ensuring all visual content adheres to client brand guidelines, campaign objectives, creative direction and internal quality standards

  • Managing multiple editing and post-production projects simultaneously, balancing quality, deadlines and changing priorities

Filming & Photography Shoots:

  • Planning, setting up and delivering live-action shoots, including lighting, composition, camera operation and audio capture

  • Acting as lead camera operator or solo content creator where required, managing shoots from setup through to wrap

  • Capturing a range of content styles including interviews, documentary-style footage, event coverage, branded content, social-first assets and campaign content

  • Working confidently both independently and collaboratively alongside producers, creatives, freelancers or wider agency teams

  • Balancing creative ambition with practical production requirements, timelines and budgets

Motion Graphics & Visual Enhancement:

  • Creating motion graphics, title sequences, animated overlays and supporting visual assets to enhance video content

  • Applying motion design principles to elevate storytelling, engagement and campaign effectiveness

  • Supporting simple animation requirements where appropriate across wider content outputs

Equipment & Technical Ownership:

  • Taking responsibility for the studio’s video and photography equipment, ensuring it is maintained, organised and fit for purpose

  • Managing technical setup standards, equipment readiness and shoot preparation requirements

  • Making recommendations for equipment upgrades, future production needs and technical capability improvements

  • Supporting best practice in filming workflows, media management and post-production processes

Collaboration & Creative Development:

  • Contributing ideas, creative thinking and production expertise to help shape stronger visual outputs from the outset

  • Working closely with designers, motion creatives, account teams and project managers to deliver joined-up creative solutions

  • Supporting the wider creative team with technical advice, filming knowledge and production best practice

  • Continuously exploring new creative techniques, production methods, formats and technologies to evolve the agency’s content offering

Skills:

  • Strong professional experience in videography, editing and content creation within an agency, production or commercial environment

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro

  • Strong working knowledge of After Effects for motion graphics and animation support

  • Good understanding of Photoshop, Lightroom and wider Adobe Creative Suite

  • Strong camera operating skills, including lighting and audio capture

  • Experience filming branded, documentary-style or commercial content

  • Strong storytelling instincts and editorial judgement

  • Excellent organisation, file management and workflow discipline

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

  • Confident communicator with a collaborative, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach

Desirable:

  • Photography experience

  • Drone licence / aerial filming experience

  • Experience in brand content, documentary or event filming

  • Basic animation or motion design capability beyond editorial motion graphics

  • Experience working with freelancers, production suppliers or external crews

  • Creative agency experience
