About LUX Technical

We are a multi-disciplinary event production company, specialising in delivering high-quality solutions for corporate events, agencies, galleries, exhibitions, live events, and immersive installations. We work with cultural institutions, artists, event organisers and agencies to bring technical solutions and creative visions to life through expert technical planning and cutting-edge technology.

We are extremely proud of our reputation for being so friendly and approachable, most importantly upholding our values of fairness and honesty. We have an appreciation for clear channels of communication and teamwork, we are also extremely proud of the long standing relationships we have built with our clients.

Hiring for this role is a part of our exciting growth strategy, following a big step forward in 2024, when we acquired White Production Design. You can read more about that here – https://whitepd.com/press-release/

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team, leading the delivery of various sized projects across the UK, while ensuring high technical standards, integrity and adaptability. If you have extensive experience in technical event production and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will take the lead in managing multiple projects, overseeing everything from initial brief to final delivery. Working closely with clients, suppliers, our internal design and technical teams, you will ensure projects are delivered with integrity, on time, within budget, and to an exceptional standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple technical production projects from conception to completion, projects of various scales.
  • Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Lead and coordinate technical teams, freelancers, and suppliers, ensuring high production values.
  • Work closely with clients, artists, and curators to understand their needs and translate creative concepts into technical solutions.
  • Oversee on-site installations, de-rigs, and troubleshooting during live events and exhibitions.
  • Ensure health & safety compliance, including risk assessments and method statements.
  • Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and project delivery.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in project management within technical event production, exhibitions, or live events.
  • A good understanding of the requirements for the various technical disciplines, such as lighting, audio, video, staging & rigging.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and coordinate teams.
  • Commercial awareness, with experience in budgeting, cost control, and supplier negotiations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and adaptability in high-pressure environments.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Experience working with galleries, museums, and immersive installations is a plus.

Why Join LUX Technical?

Today we work across multiple market verticals, providing technical event production, innovative digital solutions and installation services. A friendly, dynamic team – we are very proud of our positive ‘can do’ attitude. Recognising some of the unique pressures and challenges within our industry and delivering events, we always endeavour to be as flexible as possible and like to make the process as enjoyable as we can.

  • Work on exciting, high-profile projects for world-renowned clients.
  • Be part of a friendly, innovative, and collaborative team.
  • Opportunity for career growth and professional development.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

We are developing a well-structured business with governance in place – we have a proven track record and exciting growth strategy.
