Project Manager – Technical Production, Staging & Structures
Location: Milton Keynes (with hybrid working options available)
Salary: From £32k per annum. Reflective of skills and abilities
About IPS
IPS is a leading technical supplier to the events industry, specialising in Staging & Structures, Technical Production and Trade Equipment Hire. With extensive in-house resources, including over 15 roof structures, 3000sqm of LiteDeck, state-of-the-art lighting, sound, and video equipment, as well as comprehensive rigging and scaffolding, we deliver outstanding events across the nation. Our warehouse is stocked with thousands of lighting fixtures, hundreds of distribution units, tens of thousands of cables, generators, d&b PA systems, over 300sqm of video wall, hundreds of motors, and thousands of meters of truss. We also have an extensive inventory of Layher Event System products, which frequently plays a significant role in our projects. From arena concerts and film premieres to festivals and exhibitions, last year our projects took us from Torquay to Inverness, supporting a diverse range of clients and events.
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. As part of the Technical Production and Staging & Structures department, you will oversee projects from enquiry through to completion. You will work closely with clients to build relationships, manage logistics, and ensure successful delivery of events. A significant portion of our work involves providing structure-only solutions for other production companies, but we also handle full-scale arena productions and everything in between.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from initial enquiry to delivery, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to develop new projects and opportunities.
- Coordinate logistics for a wide variety of events, from small setups to large-scale productions.
- Collaborate with the wider IPS team to maximise the use of in-house resources.
- Travel to project sites across the UK as required.
About You:
- Proven experience in project management within the events industry with working knowledge of;
- Staging & Structures systems, ideally including LiteDeck Staging, Layher Event System and Prolyte & Eurotruss Roof Systems.
- Technical Production, including Rigging, Lighting, Audio, Video and Power.
- Able to ensure projects are delivered within all H&S best practice and budgetary requirements.
- Strong communication and networking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with excellent attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with both office-based work and on-site project management.
Location:
IPS is based in Milton Keynes, with nationwide projects and a diverse portfolio of events. While regular office collaboration is important, we understand the need for flexibility. We can offer hybrid working opportunities for the right candidate, tailoring the frequency of office-based work to suit your location and circumstances.
If you’re passionate about the events industry and want to work with a leading technical supplier, as well as a great group of colleagues, we’d love to hear from you!
