VIDEOGRAPHER / VIDEO EDITOR

RAND

Location: Mansfield, NG18 — on-site, with UK and international travel
Salary: £35,000–£45,000 per year, depending on experience and portfolio
Job type: Full-time
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with some evening and weekend filming
Reports to: Head of Content
Start date: ASAP

WORKING PATTERN AND TRAVEL

This is primarily a Monday-to-Friday, 9am–5pm role. Some events, launches and filming opportunities will require evening or weekend work. When this happens, time off in lieu or overtime arrangements will be available.

The role involves travel for filming. All work-related travel expenses will be covered by RAND.

You should be comfortable travelling throughout the UK and internationally. Trips to Europe, the USA and Japan are likely.

ABOUT RAND

RAND is building one of the biggest media and commerce ecosystems in the UK card space.

Across Randolph Pokémon, RandCards, RandSports, RandBreaks, RandHits and our wider founder-led content, we stream, buy, grade, sell and build in public.

That means the raw material never stops: live shows, big pulls, product launches, warehouse chaos, buying trips, grading reveals, business decisions and community moments.

We need someone in the room with a camera, catching it.

THE ROLE

We’re hiring a Videographer / Video Editor to be Randolph’s shadow and RAND’s eye.

You’ll film with Randolph day to day — capturing vlogs, business moments, buying trips, events and launches — while documenting the wider RAND Cards team as they work.

Then you’ll cut it into long-form YouTube videos and short-form content for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Facebook and whatever platform matters next.

This is a hands-on shooter-editor role. You’ll be trusted to spot the moment while it’s happening, get the shot without being asked and turn it around while it’s still relevant.

You’ll report to the Head of Content and work closely with the wider content team. Your work will have a major influence on how the Randolph and RAND Cards brands look and feel to everyone watching.

If you want to sit behind a desk waiting for a brief, this probably isn’t the role for you. If you want to be in the middle of a fast-moving business with a camera in your hand and the creative freedom to make it look brilliant, keep reading.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

  • Filming with Randolph day to day, on location, at events and on buying trips
  • Travelling throughout the UK and internationally for filming
  • Documenting the RAND Cards team, warehouse, live streams, launches and behind-the-scenes moments
  • Editing long-form YouTube videos with strong hooks, structure, pacing and storytelling
  • Creating platform-native short-form content for TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels
  • Repurposing long-form videos and live-stream footage into strong standalone content
  • Delivering fast-turnaround edits when content needs to go live the same day
  • Managing sound, lighting and framing so every edit starts with strong footage
  • Managing your kit, media, backups and project files
  • Maintaining a clean, searchable footage archive that the wider team can use
  • Working with the Head of Content on concepts, hooks, titles and thumbnails
  • Raising the visual standard across everything RAND publishes

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Your portfolio matters more to us than a perfect CV.

You should:

  • Film and edit to a high professional standard
  • Be fluent in Adobe Premiere Pro and comfortable across Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Understand what makes a YouTube video watchable, including hooks, pacing, retention and structure
  • Understand that TikTok, Shorts and Reels are their own craft — not simply cropped long-form videos
  • Be confident with cameras, audio and lighting in unpredictable filming conditions
  • Work quickly without letting quality drop
  • Be comfortable working closely alongside a founder and able to read the room
  • Know when to push for the shot and when to hang back
  • Take ownership of the full process, from filming through to a publish-ready file
  • Be organised with footage, project files, backups and version control
  • Take direct creative feedback and act on it quickly
  • Bring your own ideas and be confident enough to share them
  • Be willing and able to travel within the UK and internationally
  • Be flexible when important shoots fall outside normal working hours

NICE TO HAVE

  • Knowledge of Pokémon, trading cards or sports cards
  • Experience working on creator-led or founder-led YouTube channels
  • After Effects and Photoshop skills
  • Motion graphics, sound design or colour-grading experience
  • Strong instincts for titles and thumbnails
  • Your own filming kit (but not essential)

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Within your first 90 days:

  • Randolph is being filmed consistently, not occasionally
  • Long-form YouTube content is being cut and delivered reliably
  • Short-form content is going out regularly from footage we’re already capturing
  • RAND has a visual style that people notice and recognise
  • The content team has an organised footage library it can work from
  • Moments that used to be missed are now being caught

WHO WILL THRIVE HERE

You don’t need a set, a rigid schedule or perfect conditions to make good content.

You can walk into a warehouse, a live show or a car park meet and come away with something people want to watch.

You have taste, you move quickly and you care about the work being good — not merely finished. You spot the shot before anyone needs to tell you it’s a shot.

HOW TO APPLY

Please apply with:

  • Your CV
  • A link to your showreel or portfolio
  • Two or three examples of work that best represent what you can do
  • A brief note explaining which parts of each project you filmed, edited or led

This is a portfolio-first hire, so applications without examples of work may not be considered.

Pay: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • On-site parking

Application question(s):

  • Please share a link to your showreel or portfolio. For two examples, briefly explain what you personally filmed, edited or led.
  • Imagine you’re documenting a busy, unscripted day with Randolph and the RAND Cards team. How would you decide what to capture, when to step in, when to hang back and which moments should become long-form versus short-form content?
  • This role is based on-site in Mansfield, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with UK and international travel and occasional evening or weekend filming. Are you able to meet these requirements, with reasonable adjustments if needed?
  • Choose one video you took from filming through to final delivery. Who was it for, what hook did you use, what was your most important editing decision, and how did the finished video perform?
