Full job description
At a glance:
We are an independent production company and content distribution agency based in London, established in 2014. With a global network of clients that include top national and international TV broadcasters and digital platforms, we trade and license all sorts of video content, from footage to documentaries, from animations to feature films. We recently started a production arm responsible for an award-nominated TV series currently broadcast in UK and other European countries.
Position:
This is a paid internship position which could turn into a trampoline for whoever wants to jump into the audiovisual and content industries, with a global / international view. This position is particularly well-suited for student visa holders with multiple language skills, especially media studies students or those with an interest and skills in video editing and related fields.
The winning candidates will be able to prove to have a creative mindset, an interest in other cultures, languages, plenty of initiative, problem-solving skills, and a self-starter attitude as well as the ability (and the wish) to work within a team and share and communicate tasks and ideas to and with colleagues.
Social skills can really help: good communication, empathy, interpersonal skills, interest in listening to others as well as the ability to speak and understand fluently a European language other than English is what we're looking for.
We’re looking for someone who has a keen eye for detail, a love for film and video, and can approach a project confidently. We're searching for a problem solver, an outside-the-box lateral thinker, someone who strives to produce high-quality work and can manage her/his own workload and deadlines efficiently, maintaining efficiency and a sense of humour also when under pressure. The candidate should have some knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite or similar software.
Eye for detail and a genuine passion for film and video content in general is also very useful for this internship opportunity.
On top of this, and above all, we look for strong motivation to join a 360° entry-level role that will give the winning candidate the opportunity to gain plenty of experience in the industry and the chance to be given important responsibilities at a relatively early stage.
Role and responsibilities:
During the internship, the winning candidates will be trained for and involved with the following activities:
- Taking care of/participating in the processes of selection, ingestion, publishing, and pitching of the video content distributed by the agency, such as footage, short films, feature films, documentaries, TV series, animations. This includes checking for any new material that needs to be uploaded to an archive.
- Searching for content within the company library as well as on the market, dealing with current and prospective partners such as content suppliers in response to client and/or market demand.
- Participating in business development tasks such as searching/approaching/dealing with current and new clients.
- Dealing with requests and queries from current clientele, ensuring that content is delivered correctly as per the client’s request.
- Creating, shooting, amending, and editing footage.
- Actively participating in brainstorming creative sessions with colleagues for current and prospective projects.
- Social Media Campaigns and Social Media Management.
More about us:
Established in 2004, whilst still maintaining our indie approach, we have been recognised as one of the world’s pioneers in digital content distribution. With a real passion for what we do and a collaborative approach to every project, we offer a full, bespoke footage consulting service that is tailored to the needs of each client. Working closely with clients in more than 100 countries, we regularly contribute to third-party projects ranging from Academy Award-winning documentaries to popular TV series as well as successful advertising campaigns and groundbreaking news stories. Our fast and efficient consulting service helps our customers discover and purchase the right footage and produce inspiring work that appears in some of the world’s most influential newspapers, magazines, advertising campaigns, documentaries, television programmes, and online media.
