Full job description

Position Title: Sales & Marketing Officer

Department: Sales & Marketing

Location: Herefordshire

Reports To: Managing Director

Salary: £28,000 to £37,300 pro rata

Hours: 30 - 40 hours per week

Position Summary:

At an exciting time of growth and development for our business we are looking for a

dynamic and results-driven Sales and Marketing Officer to join our team. The ideal

candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing

strategies to drive growth, increase brand awareness, and achieve company sales

targets. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills,

strong analytical abilities, and a passion for sales and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, cold calling, and market research.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the management team to provide customer feedback and insights.

Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans and strategies to increase brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive analysis.
  • Create and manage marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, email, and traditional advertising.
  • Manage the company's online presence, including website updates and social media engagement.
  • Organise and participate in promotional events, trade shows, and conferences.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and marketing campaigns.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales and marketing activities and outcomes for senior management.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the company's sales and marketing efforts are current and effective.
  • Offer support for general administrative duties such as general enquiries email responses when required.

Person Specification:

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or proven experience in sales and marketing.
  • Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles, techniques, and tools including including SEO, SEM, Social Media, Email and SMS marketing.
  • Expertise in content production, including video editing, and the creation of professional-quality posters, advertisements, and infographics for both digital and print media.
  • Create blog articles that align with SEO strategies, leveraging AI tools for efficiency and precision, complemented by meticulous hand-finishing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales and marketing tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Creative thinking and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems.
  • Flexibility to travel as required.
