With branches in Leeds and Wakefield, VanStar offers a vast selection of over 600 meticulously inspected vans. Known for our commitment to quality, we provide a range of vehicles, from budget-friendly options to high-spec models. Our dedication has earned us thousands of five-star customer reviews, and our team is committed to delivering exceptional service and value. Further expansion plans are underway for 2024-25, and we are recruiting to support our growing digital content needs.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and hard-working videographer to join our media team at VanStar Wakefield.

The Videographer will play a vital role in creating engaging video content that highlights our extensive vehicle offerings and showcases VanStar's commitment to quality and service. You will be at the forefront of producing dynamic videos for various digital platforms, with a particular focus on YouTube, our website and Autotrader.

You will also be required to help photograph vehicles, 1 or two days a week. You will be given supervision and guidance on how we do this.

Working closely with the Digital Content Manager, your role will be fast-paced and rewarding as you look to help shape the digital future of VanStar.

What your role will look like day-to-day:

Video Production - Film vehicle videos to a superb high-quality standard, following the VanStar vehicle video template.

Video Editing - Edit videos in a timely manner using a mixture of editing techniques (Lumetri colour, effects, different sized videos for various platforms and channels).

Creativity - Develop visually compelling video content with an innovative approach. As you grow into your role, showcase new skills and push the boundaries of creativity when it comes to showcasing our vehicles.

Content Management - Export and organise video files, maintaining a systematic and efficient file system.

Software Expertise - Use Adobe Premiere Pro proficiently; you will have vast experience in using Premiere Pro to import, edit and export video content.

Social media - Create short/long form video content in line with the latest digital marketing trends, following VanStar’s branding and tone of voice.

Team Player - Collaborate effectively with a creative team while managing your own workload.

Photography – Photograph vehicles to VanStar standard, including correct angles, and image quality.

Essentials skills and experience required to be considered for this role:

You must be confident and have a proven track record of producing high-quality engaging video content for a mixture of different platforms. Ideally you will have a showcase reel.

You will have worked extensively with cameras/video cameras in other roles or be able to show your experience with equipment.

You will have experience using camera gimbals, particularly DJI Ronin – this is particularly important. All our videos are shot on gimbal, and you will need to be confident and have experience using them.

Full valid UK driving license – You must have a full valid UK driving license and be confident driving a mixture of small, medium and large vans.

Desirable skills:

Worked previously in the automative industry or a similar role

Used Panasonic Lumix cameras/video cameras previously

Have a strong interest in vans/cars

Driven different models of vehicles including small, medium and large vans previously

Qualifications:

A degree or certification in a related field is desirable but not essential.

Experience:

Additional benefits:

Competitive salary

Company car

20 days annual leave + bank holidays

Flexible working hours
