Leadership Trust is looking to appoint an experienced and talented Digital Marketing Executive to support the implementation of the company’s marketing plan, developing tactical campaigns to deliver against the business objectives, using an omnichannel approach across websites, email marketing, products, third-party partners, online advertising, social media, and analytics platforms.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this is a full-time position with hybrid working from either a commutable distance of our Herefordshire headquarters near Ross-on-Wye or our Head of Marketing's location in Hampshire, with regular office visits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of SEO strategies across multiple channels, monitoring digital activity using SEO monitoring tools, Google Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager, AdWords etc., making recommendations where necessary.
  • Maintenance of the company website ensuring all content is accurate, up to date and in line with the company brand guidelines and SEO strategy.
  • Research topics and write content for the company’s website and other publications, including customer case studies and topical blogs.
  • Assist in the management of regular digital campaigns with the current customer base, alumni, and new leads, to create engagement, sales, and loyalty.
  • Assist in the administration of all pay-per-click activity, ensuring accounts with third party suppliers are kept up to date and budgets are maintained.
  • Assist in the creation of user generated content maintaining a regular stream of new customer reviews.
  • Manage the company’s regular live and recorded webinars, including updating the content, scheduling, and promoting.
  • Maintenance and management of the company’s social media activity; following trends and posting content of interest to followers, customers, prospects, and alumni, with the objective of generating new leads and engagement; monitoring and reporting on activity to identify changes and new opportunities.
  • Assist with the organisation of events run or attended by Leadership Trust, e.g., exhibitions, seminars etc.
  • Assist with the relationship management of external agencies e.g. for creative production, website development and PR.
  • Maintenance of the company’s customer database ensuring it is kept up to date and help in compliance with data protection legislation.
  • Production and maintenance of all marketing collateral (digital, video, print, etc), ensuring accuracy of information and compliance with the brand guidelines.
  • Assist with the collation and evaluation of customer and market research, analysing market conditions and competitor data and customer profiles, and to ensure brand reputation, quality and integrity is maintained, reporting on changes.
  • Keep up to date with international current affairs, marketing, and business trends, identifying opportunities to keep the company at the forefront of leadership development thought leadership strategies.
  • Work closely with all colleagues in cross-functional teams to ensure strong relationships with all stakeholders and streamlined processes.

Skills, Attributes & Experience

An excellent communicator, with the ability to write, edit and repurpose engaging content for digital publication (in English).

  • Analytical mindset to assess internal and external data and conditions, making recommendations where necessary.
  • An eye for detail to ensure a high standard of accuracy across all communications.
  • Proactive, confident, and self-motivated with a positive team ethic.
  • Well organised with a real commitment to quality customer service.
  • Experience of managing web/CMS systems and social media channels.
  • Experience of implementing SEO strategies across multiple channels and monitoring digital activity using the Google suite. Knowledge of SEMrush (or similar) would be an advantage.
  • Experience of creative production using Adobe Create Suite, Canva and video editing desirable.
  • Educated to a high standard, ideally with a degree in business management or marketing. A CIM qualification would be an advantage.
  • IT literate, with experience in using Microsoft Office and other business systems, including a good working knowledge of Excel to create spreadsheets for data analysis.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a B2B marketing position with regular use of digital marketing competences.
