Media & Marketing Manager

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 FTE, DOE (£18,000 - £21,000 Actual)
Hours: 22.5 (0.6 FTE)

Overview of the purpose of the role

This role will lead and be instrumental in executing the JMR group’s marketing and communications activity. You will undertake all marketing for the organisation in collaboration with external agencies as required, with responsibility for both day-to-day content delivery and the development of high-level media assets to enhance internal engagement, recruitment, public image, and stakeholder confidence. The post-holder will oversee all external media output, internal communications tools, branding consistency, and contribute to the design and delivery of strategic documents such as impact reports, stakeholder packs, and digital campaigns. The post Holder will also assist in company event planning and will be responsible for producing media for these events.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Planning

· Implement marketing strategies aligned with business goals.

· Define target audiences and develop positioning and messaging.

· Identify trends and insights to optimize marketing performance.

Campaign Management

· Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns (digital, print, social, TV, radio) aligned to the organisations objectives.

· Oversee campaign timelines and ensure deadlines are met.

Media Planning and Buying

· Choose appropriate media platforms to reach target audiences.

· Negotiate media buys and manage media vendor relationships.

· Monitor and evaluate media performance (reach, impressions, ROI).

· Liaise with external design, print, or digital contractors as required

Content and Creative Oversight

· Supervise creation of marketing content: website, videos, ads, blog posts, graphics.

· Ensure brand consistency across all channels and materials.

· Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and production teams.

Digital Marketing Management

· Lead or support the creation of video content and visual storytelling for digital use

· Oversee social media strategy and online presence.

· Manage paid media (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.).

· Track KPIs like CTR, CPC, engagement, and conversions.

Branding and Internal Marketing Management

· Oversee and manage website content and design, ensuring it remains user-friendly, up to date, and legislatively compliant

· Produce and coordinate internal staff feedback campaigns, recognition systems, and engagement communications

· Support branding and visual identity for events, campaigns, and physical/digital assets

· Maintain and update the staff intranet/portal, ensuring content is accurate, accessible, and engaging

· Produce high-quality digital materials, such as:

  • Strategic plans and impact reports
  • Stakeholder documents and promotional packs
  • Recruitment and fundraising campaign visuals
  • Merchandise and branded collateral

· Provide design input for any service rebrands or physical development (e.g. signage, wayfinding, printed materials)

· Maintain and evolve brand voice, tone, and identity.

· Ensure brand compliance across all channels and materials.

Public Relations and Communication

· Manage press releases, media outreach, and brand reputation.

· Act as a liaison with media outlets and influencers.

· Organize media events, interviews, and PR campaigns.

Market Research and Analytics

· Conduct market research and competitor analysis.

· Use tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, or social media insights.

· Prepare reports and present insights to stakeholders.

Budgeting and ROI Analysis

· Allocate resources effectively across campaigns.

· Manage deployment of marketing and media in line with budgets.

· Measure ROI of marketing and media investments.

· Adjust strategy based on performance data.
