Established in 2000, Avensys is one of the leading audio visual systems integration companies in the South of England. Avensys specialise in highly technical and innovative installations including control systems, video walls, digital signage, high end projection and video conferencing solutions.

Due to continued growth and success within the industry we are now looking to add an Engineer /Installer team member to our expanding, hardworking team. The role will see you working within a busy team delivering solutions to the corporate /commercial marketplace. You will be involved in the preparation and installation of equipment, working closely with the project management team.

The role

The purpose of the role is to work with the Project Managers and Technicians to install audio visual solutions.

This role will suit AV Engineers , Installation Engineers , Audio Visual Engineers , A.V Technicians

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Project Manager (PM) and wider integration team, to ensure that installations are carried out within the specified time-frame, using industry best practice and working to ISO standards and guidelines.
  • Ability to work upon instruction from PM and independently.
  • Responsible for ensuring quality of installations, including cable runs, terminations, cable management, equipment mounting, labelling, marking up drawings.
  • Creative problem solving on projects in conjunction with the PM.
  • Escalating issues from site through the appropriate channels.
  • Appropriate preparation of installation equipment prior to an installation project.
  • Mentorship of Junior Team Members and reinforcement of Safe and Good Practice.
  • Any other duties as required as an Audio Visual Installation Engineer

Skills required

A broad experience and detailed knowledge of the following is desired:

  • Rack building/pre-wire
  • Install and setup of UC Solutions including Teams and Zoom Rooms
  • Install LED Screens, Video Walls and Flat Panel Displays and projectors
  • Installing AV Control systems, e.g. Crestron, Extron & Biamp
  • Install audio equipment including Dante systems, speakers, microphones etc
  • Structured cabling which includes pulling, terminating and testing all cable and wiring associated with audio/video cables
  • Experience working on construction sites
  • Manual handling tasks will be required when necessary for moving equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
