Full job description

About The Sequence

The Sequence is a video production and content studio based in Braintree, Essex. Over 11 years we have produced more than 3,000 videos for over 150 businesses, managed more than 50 social media accounts and generated over 10 million views. Our work has featured in the Sunday Mirror and on BBC News, and won Website of the Year in 2018.

We work with service based businesses across Essex and London, planning, filming, editing and publishing video and social content that builds their brand and brings in new enquiries.

The role

We are looking for a Videographer / Content Creator to join the team. You will film on location, review edits from our editing team, manage the content calendar and scheduling across all of our clients, and create additional content where it is needed. Shoot days may start early and are scheduled at least a week in advance. The role offers a clear path to leading shoots and managing client accounts.

Key responsibilities

  • Film client shoots at different locations across Essex, progressing to leading shoots independently
  • Direct contributors on camera, operate the prompter and capture behind the scenes footage
  • Review edits from our editing team and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Manage revisions and client approvals through to sign off
  • Plan and schedule social media posts across all of our clients, ensuring content is published on time
  • Identify gaps in the content calendar and create carousels, thumbnails and captions using Canva and AI tools

What we're looking for

Essential

  • A portfolio, showreel or social media accounts showcasing video you have shot
  • A strong eye for video and design, including composition, lighting and visual consistency
  • A good understanding of social media content, including hooks, pacing and platform formats
  • Confident on a computer, with experience of an editing package such as Premiere Pro or CapCut, and Canva
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with clients, including people new to being on camera

Desirable

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience scheduling social media content for businesses
  • Experience with Photoshop or other design software

What we offer

  • £25,000 to £30,000 per year, pro rata if part time
  • 4 or 5 days per week on a regular schedule. Freelance or employed arrangements considered
  • Hybrid working: home based, with shoots at locations across Essex and occasionally London
  • Professional kit provided, including cameras, lighting, audio and prompter
  • Company pension (if employed), company events and casual dress
  • Training from an experienced team and a clear path to leading shoots and client accounts

How to apply

Apply through Indeed with your CV and a link to your portfolio, showreel or social media work. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an initial call, followed by a paid trial day on a live shoot.
