Jas P Wilson Forest Machines are looking for an enthusiastic Digital Marketing & Creative Assistant to join the Marketing Department.

We are looking to bring on board a Digital Marketing & Creative Assistant to help develop our brand through content creation, promotion and advertising activity to support the strategy of the Director of Marketing.

Jas P Wilson is a family owned and operated business, currently celebrating its 60th year in business. It is a leading UK based Forestry & Firewood machinery manufacturer and distributor, with a team of 80 staff covering a wide range of professions and sectors. This role would suit any creative individual with a passion for Digital Design and Online Marketing. This may be your first role in this field, following training, or the early stage in your career journey, however if you have passion for marketing and content creation this role is ideally suited for you.

Job Title: Digital Marketing & Creative Assistant

Location: Dalbeattie

Reports to: Marketing Director

Job purpose:

To design and develop on-brand creative assets for all digital channels including online promotion, website development, email campaigns, social media marketing and offline branding, internal marketing, advertising and merchandising. The candidate will also support the reporting and presentation of the results of these activities.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

You will report to the Director of Marketing to carry out the following tasks:

1. Design multi-media promotional content for our online & offline use.

2. Create daily posts and edited videos for our social channels – including Instagram, Facebook and TikTok – including the creation of the video content.

3. Design promotional emails to send to our subscribers

4. General website maintenance. Write content for our website to improve user experience, add product updates and improve search rankings.

5. Working alongside the sales & aftersales departments to support objectives.

6. Support internal company marketing with content creation & distribution.

7. Support Trade show planning & promotion. Occasional trade show visits

8. Support the collection of and utilisation of Data and statistics.

9. Develop presentations for commercial, educational and other partners

Person-profile:

Personality: An enthusiastic, committed & reliable individual who has a natural creative flair and a passion for Marketing. You must be a self-motivated and have the ability to create new ideas. Must be good at working either individually or within a team to achieve goals. Meeting deadlines and planning ahead is also a key part of the role to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard, in a timely manner.

Specific Job Skills: Able to communicate well via written media particularly in relation to product listing details, email and social posts. Appreciates the need for brand consistency and has excellent attention to detail. It is essential that you have skills to seamlessly edit product photography & edit video to meet the needs of website and social media use.

Literacy and Numeracy: Must have excellent English and grammar.

Computer skills:

To apply for this role, you must be IT proficient.

· Experience in Photoshop (Critical)

· Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office (Essential)

· Experience with Instagram/Facebook/Tik Tok (Essential)

· Knowledge of Email Design (Desired)

· Knowledge of other platforms & tools such as Google Ads, WordPress (Desirable)

Other related skills:

· Experience in a Marketing/Graphic Design/Media related field.

· Photography Experience (Desired) – Applicant will have access to company owned equipment.

Education & Experience:

· A National 5s, Higher, HNC, HND or Degree qualification or equivalent industry experience in Media, Graphic Design or Digital Marketing.
- It would be an advantage to include relevant links to design & marketing work experience and completed tasks.

· Valid Driver’s License (Desired for offsite photoshoots, customer case studies & trade shows).
