Housing and Property Management Tutor / Coach Skills4Group

Salary: Depending on relevant experience

Skills4 is looking for an experienced housing professional with strong residential block and leasehold management expertise to deliver our TPI-focused provision. You’ll support learners across Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5 programmes, including apprenticeships, commercially funded courses and other funded learning routes.

The role

• Deliver engaging teaching, coaching and assessment tailored to learners’ roles, experience and programme requirements.
• Manage a learner caseload, planning learning and monitoring progress towards timely achievement.
• Complete regular, documented progress reviews with apprentices and employers, agreeing clear targets and addressing barriers to learning.
• Support learners to develop and demonstrate the required knowledge, skills and behaviours, build workplace evidence and prepare for assessments, including end-point assessment where applicable.
• Maintain accurate learner records, assessment feedback and evidence of off-the-job training where required.
• Promote learner welfare, safeguarding, Prevent, equality and inclusion, escalating concerns through Skills4 procedures.
• Identify additional learning needs and work with colleagues and employers to arrange appropriate support.
• Maintain current industry knowledge and contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement.

What we’re looking for

• At least five years’ hands-on residential block management experience with direct portfolio responsibility.
• Strong leasehold knowledge, including lease interpretation, enforcement, leaseholder and RMC relationships.
• Practical experience of service charges, reserve funds, Section 20 consultation, procurement and contractor management.
• Relevant knowledge of landlord and tenant law and residential health, safety and building compliance.
• Experience coaching, mentoring or training others, with the ability to support leadership and management learning at Level 5.
• Strong organisation, digital record-keeping and communication skills, with a supportive, learner-centred approach.

Desirable

ATPI, MTPI or AssocRICS; teaching or assessing qualifications; apprenticeship delivery experience; and wider CIH or social housing expertise. Experienced property professionals moving into teaching should be willing to work towards relevant teaching and assessment qualifications.
